Preview - Pocket-Sized Play - Monsterhearts: Mercy Falls '83

Hello! This is a preview of a Pocket-Sized Play series coming out in 2018. It's called Monsterhearts: Mercy Falls '83, and it is something of a spin-off/prequel of the main Mercy Falls series.

At an hour long, this episode isn't really "pocket-sized," but is nevertheless quite cool. It is a Session 0 of Monsterhearts. We do a bit of setting overview, character creation, backstory, "homeroom" creation, and then kickoff the story with an introductory scene. I really loved listening to it, because 1) you get a fantastic sense of how a Session 0 for MH is supposed to go and 2) there is just a lot of really awesome collaboration going on at the table. I have presented the players with a basic set-up, but everything is still in a very sketchy mode as far as their characters go. It's fun to see how we use the table conversation to shape the beginning of our story (and even more enjoyable to see how those initial ideas change as we get further into the gameplay).
