Rem felt like the pressure of people's expectations was crushing her and that her sister was an unmatched entity that she could never reach (that even when ram lost her horn and rem became basically stronger and better than her at everything she was still in denial and deep down she knew a version of her sister that only her can remember who will always be superior to her and she'll never surpass no matter what she does it's more like a psychological inferiority complex) and that's why when the horn got cut off she thought "finally it broke off" as in finally I can be free of those expectations and bonds , but of course it was a quilty-pleasure type of thought/feeling so she always felt bad for feeling at ease for her sister's horn getting cut down.
