Nice trivia about the "slayer" title, in Japanese its Sousou no Frieren, which is also the title of the show. Sousou 葬送 meaning the spiritual aspect of a funeral, the sending off of the deceased. At first the title appears to refer Frieren sending off her companions by fulfilling their last wishes as they leave this world one after another, but here in this episode it also gets this double meaning of her having sent, "slayed" countless demons, more than anyone else in history. Now I think thats a pretty cool touch!

Man I've watched this episode so many times and that part when Frieren fully releases her mana still gives me chills. So good!
Love the parallel of Frieren "having a feeling" about how strong Flamme was and how our boy Himmel also had that feeling about Frieren despite her mana suppression :)

The flash back shows that even Heiter was super strong...When they met Frieren, she only showed the mana of an average mage but Heiter said she has 1/5 of his mana...at minimum Heiter 5 times more mana than the average mage

To be honest I couldn't wait after seeing episode 8 with you, so i went ahead and watched the whole season by myself, but I'll gladly rewatch all of it with you. I just want to tell you that I'm glad you started reacting to this series, because it became my favourite animated series of all time, I even bought most of the manga a few days ago. Thank you.
