Open-Back Files!
Added 2022-04-08 21:30:19 +0000 UTCFiles come with:
- Open-Back Cone Files (mic and non-mic on Right Side)
- Open-Back Headband Mount
- Pre-Configured 3MFs for PrusaSlicer and Cura
We have decided these are a free download to supplement the existing head(amame) files. If you are happy about them, feel free to leave a tip, or go join the Patreon! (Patrons have had these for a while!)
What else?
(If you already have Open-backs printed, submit to this form, and we will award based on who printed them first)
The new form includes an option for the Open-Back model, so get those printers rolling! The early serial numbers wont last long! The new form also makes it way easier for us to print the labels for the letters containing your brass serial tag.
- New Download system
With this file drop we are trialing a new download system. Last week we heard from a number of you that the head(amame) 1.7 files were not always coming through properly, so we think this system will work better. If so, we will adopt it across all file downloads!
That's it for this week!
As always thank you all for the support, we can't wait to see your Open-Backs!
Happy Printing
Morgan and John

Prusa Slicer to the rescue!
head(amame)
2022-04-20 14:53:36 +0000 UTCJust figured out the issue I was having, I tried your advice and did a bunch of material and printer tuning and my printer was pretty dialed in had no stringing on a stringing towers test. So I looked closer and the stringing I thought I was having was much thicker lines then stringing would normally have and the whole print was soft and mushy feeling. I double checked my cura settings and they were all correct. So I downloaded Prusa slicer and tried that and my very first try was almost zero stringing and the part was way stronger. Not sure what was wrong with cura but it was not happy with printing open infill or something.
