Happy belated New Year everyone! I'm so happy to see you all here!🏹🐉
This year, as the New Year's man, I stepped up to the plate to paint the dragon girl as best I could and started a thick speed-painting. And here is the New Year's card.
I had been working on it since the end of the year, but I couldn't finish it in time for the new year, and after the new year, there was a series of accidents, from earthquakes to other things. I thought I had something to add while I was painting, so I painted this one with the intention of exorcising the bad luck with a giant Hama-arrow at the end.
I started painting in a hurry, and although I can't say that I finished quickly, I think I was satisfied with the result.
I heard that 2024 is the lowest luck for Sagittarius type B! Exorcise the bad luck! 😭
All basic paid-for content was opened, but from next year 2024 the following changes will be made for articles older than 12 months.
・PSD and ClipData" posts will be closed.
・High-res illustration" posts will be moved to the ¥1,000 plan.
Even if I keep them, it probably won't be seen anymore, so I may or may not make the data available for individual sale.
I apologise for the sudden change, but if you want to see the old data, we recommend that you download it now.
*The articles on how to draw, materials, etc. will not change.
About our commission policy
When I finally opened commissions at the beginning of 2023, I was happy to receive many requests from many people, but I am very sorry to have to cancel some of them due to the limit of my capacity.
I tried to do it by setting a certain period of time for recruiting and screening, but I came to the conclusion that it was not a good method and closed the commissions when the slot was obviously exceeded.
It is up to each person to decide what is best for us, but I am beginning to have a rough idea of what I am going to do, and I would like to note it as follows.
The slots are determined by the work situation at the time,
First of all, the " Personal Request Estimate " is always open, and if there is room, the " Skeb " is opened and closed as soon as the slots are filled.
*Please note that once you have received a quote, you are not allowed to receive the same quote on Skeb.
The reasons for this are
- It takes a lot of time and effort on the part of the requestor.
- To think that once cancelled, we may not be motivated to do the next one.
- The order of priority is: Job Requests > Personal Requests > Skeb.
The priority of OC is still the same, and the basic idea of not doing Fan fiction is still the same.
I would like to avoid cancellations of requests even if there is no problem with the request as much as possible, so please continue to do so in the future!
I am happy to announce that today, December 2, Is my birthday 🥳.
I don't know if I should be happy about this by now, but I think it's a good thing to be honest!
And I have over 50,000 followers on Twitter and 5,000 subscribers on Youtube! I am very grateful!
It was a long time ago that I reached 50K followers, but the number kept increasing and then decreasing, and I was not sure when it would go back to 40K, so I left it aside.
I am happy to report that we also have 5,000 subscribers on Youtube!
When I started thinking about this article last month, I was going to celebrate 3,000 subscribers, but I guess I took your recommendation and skipped 4,000.
This article is just a hobby of mine, but I hope it will be useful for those who are interested in my work.
I am happy to receive comments about my drawings and how to draw them!
I think I have the most fun when I am talking about painting, and I hope this channel is that kind of channel.
I'm sure there are many parts of the video that you don't understand, as I'm not particularly meticulous about making them, but if each of you could pick up on something, I'd be happy to say!
I wish I could spend more time on subtitles and explanations, but it's a little difficult right now, so I'd be happy to take questions.
(I'm sorry about the language of the tool, especially since I can't do it in English since the ClipStudio serial code is in Japanese only...)
I would rather continue to upload videos, so I would like to ask for your continued support in that way!
Once again, I would like to thank all those who support and watch FANBOX!
Less than a month to go this year. Let's take it easy and not hold back!

Hello!
It's been a while since I've posted a making-of video here, but I hesitated to put it public on Youtube again, so I feel like I'm here to make a memorial service.
It's an hour long, so it's for those who want to take their time and watch it!

The fortune (Omikuji) for the New Year's visit was Sho-kichi(小吉=Small luck).
It was 12 years ago in the Year of the Rabbit that I uploaded my first New Year's card to PIXIV, and I have been drawing rabbits and their siblings from one place to another, using PC, iPhone, iPad, Photoshop, ClipStudio, and so on.
(I see that my first sister had blonde hair...)
I hope to draw a lot of commissions this year, but I am also worried about the balance between doing large commissions and small ones, because the number of commissions will go down if I make each one heavier.
I'm trying to make some improvements to the pictures, but I'm also worried that the time is only adding up to more time...!
The number of people waiting for commissions is increasing, so I have been willing to do all of them, but I may have to be more selective.
(I know it takes a lot of time and effort to prepare for commissions, so I want to do as much as I can without omitting anything, but I can't keep up with it all, so I'm thinking that after a certain period of open commissions, I will choose from there...)
Skeb's good point is that we are free to do what we want, so rather than accepting a project because it is cheap or because we have many requests, we are looking at whether or not we can get the image we want and whether or not we can keep the cost within our budget, but it is hard to say for sure.
However, I will continue to work on the requests I receive, and I look forward to working with you again this year!

Hello everyone!
How are you spending the end of the year?
I just enjoyed a trip to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto the other day to see friends.
I think I was asked to go on a school excursion to Nara by a junior high school student, but I was surely head-butted by a deer.
I also wanted to try out a new method of working on my laptop while staying in capsule hotels and so on.
I have been working on the request activity for quite a long time, and I have received many requests this year, making it a very productive year for me.
Thankfully, we have received many inquiries from individuals as well, and we are starting to feel that we are over capacity, so we will have to think about what to do next year.
Most of the requests are from overseas, but recently we have been receiving requests from Japanese individuals as well, so we are thinking of creating a Japanese individual request page and perhaps giving priority to those individual requests over Skeb, and if there is room, we will try to make up for it on Skeb. Maybe I will open Skeb less often, but... I don't know!
I think one of the changes this year is the increase in the number of making-of videos and reaching 1,500 subscribers to my channel.
I'm also very happy to see that my Twitter account is now over 40,000 followers, and I'm almost at 50,000 followers, and Fanbox is about to reach 500 followers!
Next year will be the Year of the Rabbit, so I'll have to start thinking of something for my New Year's greeting cards... Xp
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's holiday!
I wish you all a wonderful New Year's Eve and New Year!

Not a particularly special update, but hello!
The other day, when I was sorting through my data, I found a video that I had forgotten to upload in the early days of the project. I thought it would be a shame to waste it, so I decided to make it available to the public on a limited basis.
I think it was just a short time after I started recording these videos, but it has been more than a year since I started posting videos, and thankfully, the number of subscribers to my Youtube page has exceeded 140,000. I am happy to report that the number of subscribers to our Youtube page has now exceeded 140 and is approaching 1500!
I have recently added support for 1080p resolution, but the recording data was still in 720p, so it is still stretched. We have recently added support for 1080p resolution, but the recorded data was still 720p, so it is still in a state of being stretched, but we expect the recorded data will soon be in 1080p as well!
I've been thinking that the encoding time and the data space limitations might be a bottleneck, so I've been deleting videos after uploading them, which is how I found this one (laughs).
I haven't really thought about what I'm going to do with it in the future, but I think I'd like to use it for an hour or so of work, or for sleeping? I'm not really thinking about what I'm going to do with it in the future. I'm not really thinking about what I'm going to do with it in the future, but I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to make it into an hour-long video for work or sleep.
I don't know if it looks like a repetition of the same thing, or if you enjoy the different pictures each time, but I hope you enjoy it!
PS: I received a comment the other day asking me to do a making-of video with commentary, so I'm not doing it now because it would be too repetitive, but I've made a list of previous videos with subtitles, so if you'd like to see them, you can find them here!

There are more photos of nature, ruins, old castles, Celtic crosses, pubs, etc.
I went to Dublin, Ireland in 2019 on a work holiday program to study abroad, and as a result, it was a year of traveling around a lot of countries and coming back just to enjoy the holidays.
It was a great decision, I think, now that it expired at the same time as Covid.
Personally, I had been here for a 3-day trip in 2014, so I had some familiarity with the area, but it was also interesting to experience the lifestyle of the place over a longer period of time. I felt at ease when I arrived in Dublin, as it now feels like a second home to me.
Ireland belongs to Europe, so the currency is the Euro.
Although there is an Irish language (Gaelic), English is actually the first language, but Gaelic is being revived and both languages are displayed on buses, and Gaelic is also common in rural areas.
I think Northern Ireland part will be done separately, but that is different because it is a British territory. (You can drive straight to Northern Ireland though.)
There are two low-cost airlines from Ireland, RyanAir and AerLingus, which allow you to travel around Europe at a price that would be unbelievable in Japan, so it is a good place to move around.
I chose Ireland because I wanted to see the environment, the natural atmosphere, and the scenery of old castles and ruins.
In 2019, the final chapter of "Game of Thrones" will be aired, and many places are being used as filming locations.
Every week, pubs would show the show during the airing time, and it was fun to watch it while drinking and reacting to the show, and there was never a shortage of excitement and topics to talk about.
One of the many good things about going to a language school is, of course, the opportunity to make friends and international connections, but some schools also offer local activities and manage trips on the weekends.
Some schools also offer local activities and manage trips on weekends.
The first month of the trip was very busy and intense, so much so that it feels quite long in my memory, and these photos are from that period.
The Rock of Cashel may not be famous, but it is an old castle standing on top of a hill with a church inside and half of it is a ruin.
The land in Ireland is very flat and the mountains are usually about 500 meters high, and there are no obstructions, so the wind is very strong and the weather is always changing. The weather is very windy and the wind is always changing. (On the other hand, there is almost no strong rain like in Japan.)
(On the other hand, it rarely rains as hard as it does in Japan.) Some of my friends got sick right after their first activity at the school, so it was a good place to experience the Irish climate.
It's a climate that shows how much you need a hood.
One of the tourist attractions in Ireland at the western end of the country is the Cliffs of Moher.
The cliffs stretch as far as the eye can see, and the view is spectacular, no matter how many times you come back.
You can walk as far as you want, but be sure to turn around in time for the meeting time.
Some tours offer a sightseeing boat ride where you can look up from the sea below.
There are no railings along the cliffs, so be careful of dangerous selfies, as this is actually a place where many selfie fatalities have occurred.
The western port town is Galway, where the streets are crowded with pubs at night, though not as much as in Dublin.
It is a good place to stop by at night to visit the Aran Islands, although it is small enough to walk around quickly.
The Aran Islands, as the name suggests, are the birthplace of the Aran sweater, and although they are in a remote part of Ireland, they are well known as a tourist destination.
The largest of the islands is Inishmore Island, where you can rent a bicycle for a round-the-island tour.
It is also a very pleasant place to visit when the weather is nice, with ruins, cliffs, and a spectacular view of the flat island.
The pattern of the sweater netting is different for each family, and you can see many patterns and family names in the stores you see up there.
The people who live here are from old families and I wonder if they have strong Celtic blood, but I had a strong impression that they are Westerners with black hair and brown eyes. I often have the impression that the Irish have red hair and green eyes, but I was told that this may be due to their Viking heritage (according to my Irish teacher).
Glendaloch, a mountainous area south of Dublin, is home to old early Christian ruins, a Viking watch tower, a grave with a distinctive Celtic cross, and a hiking area with beautiful mountains and lakes.
If you walk beyond the lake, you will also find the ruins of a hidden Christian village where Christians escaped from the Vikings.
Even if you are not on a tour, there is a bus service from Dublin, so if you have time to spare, this is a place you should definitely visit.
So, this is just one of the famous sightseeing spots in Ireland.
There are many places to see in Dublin alone, such as the old library of Trinity College where you can see the "Celtic Book" and the vast Phoenix Park, but there are also Dublin Castle, the Temple Bar area, museums, and above all, many pubs if you want to see Celtic art. Dublin is more than just a fancy city.
If you like nature and beer, you will love Ireland.
Come to think of it, I couldn't even drink a pint of beer in the beginning, but by the end I could drink three pints.
However, I still don't like Japanese beer after returning home.
Lager, ale, IPA, and various other beers were available at each pub, but I feel that Japanese beer is limited to lager with strong carbonation. I guess it is similar to what is called craft beer.
I am a little sad that I can't drink many beers in Japan, even though I found that I like bitter beer with a fruity aroma.
Well, that's how long it took me to write this article, but that was the Irish part for now!
The second part is the cities of Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat in Morocco.
Looking back, there are some photos of the cities, but more of the sea and sky, with a few mosaic tiles, cats, and plants here and there!
On the last day of the Sahara Desert tour, we said goodbye to our driver who took care of us for 3 days and dropped us off near each participant's lodgings.
The local driver's advice:
”Marrakech has more pickpockets and scalpers than any other tourist destination in Morocco, and if you take pictures without due care, they will ask you for money."
We were told to be a little wary of this, as the city is not very tourist-friendly.
During the daytime, there is a spacious square where people in traditional costumes, snake charmers, monkey shows, and various other people perform, but if you point your camera at them, you may be asked for money, as they say, so be careful.
At night, a large market quickly develops and is crowded with people and catchers.
I was with a fellow tour group and a German tourist I met in a dormitory there, so we didn't have much trouble, but the catches are super friendly when you first see them, but they will abuse you the moment you refuse them.
"Hi, my friend!" → "I don't want to see your face, fuck off, you piece of shit". Rather amusing!
There are many food and fruit juice stores in the market, but if I were to divide them into three ranks, I would recommend the stores with the most local people. At first glance, it may seem difficult to enter a restaurant because of the lack of tourists, but these places offer good food at fair prices.
The next best places to go are those with a lot of tourists, and the prices may be high, but I don't think you will get that many complaints.
The worst is the place where no one is around and the catches are too noisy. They play music which is not very nice, and then they rip you off.
The important thing is to ask for a bill and compare the price with the price on the menu to find out how much it cost.
I remember that I had a good meal at No.50 sandwich shop, which was cheap but large and satisfying, and a dish (I forgot the number and the name of the dish) at a restaurant with many local people.
Marrakech has one of the largest medinas (old town) with many markets, ruins, gardens, and museums, in addition to the stalls in the square.
Buses are available, but they are local and crowded, so I do not recommend taking a bus alone (especially for women), but it is a cheap way to get around without getting ripped off by cabs if you are in a group.
After I left my tour group, my dorm-mates, and the couple I met on the bus to Chefchaouen, I headed to Casablanca and Rabat by train after enjoying Marrakech and exchanging information with them.
Casablanca is famous for its movies, and although there are not many tourist attractions such as the modern area, the old city, and the coastal sea area, it is a good place to see and walk around.
It is a beautiful mosque standing by the sea, and the interior, which is open to tours, is also very beautiful, although no photos are available inside.
The area is often shrouded in mist and spray, creating a magical atmosphere at night.
The contrast between the old town and the huge shopping center next door was also very impressive.
Looking back, I am glad I managed to find a place to stay that day.
There are several cheap hotels in Morocco called Riad, and I was lucky to get a room with wifi even at low speed. From the next day, I started to use Airbnb, but it is difficult to find a room on the same day because of the approval system.
Rabat, the capital of a little-known city, has many places to see.
There are beautiful coastal views, but there are also many tourist attractions such as the old town, mosques, churches, and fortress ruins.
There are many stores in the old town, so there is no need to worry about food and shopping, but there are many similar streets, and it seems that it would not be surprising if some of you might get lost.
What I was very interested in was the old Muslim grave area that straddles the river of the sea and the whole area is old grave, and what a number of them there were.
The guest house in the old town was so complicated that we had no idea where it was, but a neighbor helped us and contacted us, and we managed to get there.
It was a small inn, but it was comfortable and stylish, except that the hot water was not working :o
In case it's a glitch, I'll contact the owner about that kind of thing for the next person.
I also have good memories of going to a local hammam (a public bathhouse similar to a sauna in Japan) here.
The old man does his best power to give you a full-body scrubbing so that you feel like you are going to be crushed:D
It may be a bit far to walk around the city, but it is not impossible to walk around.
If you can walk for 30 minutes, it's not a problem.
There is a medina (old town) and a modernized business district in each area, and the scenery is really different depending on the area, so there was no time to waste while walking around.
Except for Marrakech, we didn't get ripped off that much. In Casablanca, when I told them I had to withdraw money because I didn't have enough cash when I couldn't use my credit card, they gave me a discount and said, "No problem, come back next time.
In the Islamic world, I think it is important to communicate with people, and I am happy to receive a little something extra depending on whether or not we get along with each other, as well as negotiating the price.
(This is not the same as being taken advantage of.)
French is the second language in Morocco, but English is also spoken in the cities, so there was no inconvenience in terms of language.
The long-distance trains are also comfortable, with only a few interruptions when buying tickets.
One thing to note about flight tickets in Morocco: you must print them out and check in.
So I printed them at an Internet cafe in Rabat before heading to the airport (Marrakech).
I never had a problem in Europe without printing out a basic flight ticket, but sometimes the flight app would die if it was hit by maintenance, so I just took a screenshot. (If you have an iPhone, it's a good idea to have the ticket saved in Wallet.)
Needless to say, I'd recommend printing it out in case of dead batteries, app updates, maintenance, or loss and theft!
How was this 11-day trip diary in Morocco?
This was my first trip to a Muslim country, and I can only remember good things about it, except for Marrakech XD
Chefchaouen, the Sahara desert, and the cities were full of excitement, and the people I met there were fun too.
One thing I forgot to mention is that you should not buy international transport in old city!
There are many carpets and interior goods for sale, but no matter how friendly the person is, they will not reach the right address (there is a possibility of such a scam).
If you can't bring it back as luggage, it's better not to buy it. You risk wasting your money!
That's all for this trip diary!
I wish I could drink that sugar cane juice they sell in Medina again!!!
How to draw without looking bad (5) "Digital grisaille shading"
I just started a paid FANBOX article called "How I draw my digital grisaille" and I've decided to turn this shading section over here because I think it's general knowledge, not my own!
If you like, you can take a look at some photo materials and high quality versions!
Also, there may be some mistakes in this explanation, in which case we would appreciate it if you could point them out.
About grisaille shading
It is easy to write that grisaille is to draw shading with two colors, light and dark, and overlay colors, but it is necessary to have a rough understanding of how to add "shading excluding luminance of unique colors" and the difference between "overlay" and "hard light" and other layer Blendings.
Although I said in the above article that this is for people who are good at sketching, it is important to have an understanding of digital color composition.
It's for those who don't know exactly what grays and colors to draw in overlay and hard light!
Shading excluding intrinsic color luminance
This simply means lightness and darkness of shadows only. (I think it is similar to the gray state of a 3D model without texture, or a figure doll with gray surfacer sprayed on it.)
) This is a lightness/darkness state without color depth, which is not possible in black-and-white photography.
It is a little complicated, but I will show you the following method to help you understand the difference between value and luminance.
There are two ways to monochrome an intrinsic color.
(1) Monochrome based on value
This is a method to reduce only the value of "saturation" in the adjustment layer.(S "Saturation" in the digital HSB color slider is removed.)
(2) Monochrome based on luminance
The method to separate lightness and darkness based on the "apparent brightness" of the color.
(In this case, it is called "radiance" to be precise...)
For example, if you paint R, G, and B colors, and then add a white (or gray, or black) layer with saturation 0 on top, and set the layer blend to "Hue," "Saturation," or "Color" and convert the color to black and white, the density of the black will be different.
(You may ask why not set the saturation to 0 in the adjustment layer.
The method described above (1) is to lower the saturation without changing the "brightness" value, so the "luminance" difference of the unique colors does not appear as it does in the actual image.(The difference in the illustration is subtle, but see the image.)
This is not suitable for the explanation of luminance in this case, although it may be helpful to see the difference clearly.)
As you can see in the Munsell color scale, each color has its own Value, and in sketching, it is correct to paint the red apple darker and blacker than the green apple, but in digital grisaille, this may be difficult to do. (It is desirable in digital grisaille to use the same gray color, and the Value of the color should be determined by the color layer).
It is this process that makes it different from adding color to a sketching or black-and-white photograph, which is not impossible, of course, but it leads to difficulties with ideal colors and adjustments.
Ideally, in digital grisaille, the color should be determined by a folder or layer with a layer blending of color, and adding a light color to an originally dark area (or vice versa) can be a bit complicated and overworked.
Difference between overlay and hard light
Especially when using "overlay" on a color layer, colors will not be applied to high and low light areas as they are, so you must be careful to apply light and dark in the 50% gray range or you will end up with unintentionally pale tints.
Hard Light" is often recommended for digital grisaille coloring.
In the case of hard light, it is the easiest to use because it is the closest to the feeling that the selected color is applied as it is.
It is also possible to add patterns and details in color as if they were textures, since it is possible to overlay the color of your choice on light and dark areas to a certain extent.
If the color is 50% grey, Blend such as overlay and hard light have no effect at all. In other words, "the effect is to see how much the color, lightness or darkness differs from 50% grey".
(If the grey is not close to 50%, the color of the overlay will fade. Hardlight, on the other hand, will add color even if it is a light grey).
It is possible to achieve the same effect with both if you make some adjustments.
When coloring as described above, there may be a slight difference in the underlying gray, but what is most needed in digital grisaille is "shading without the luminance of the intrinsic colors," in other words, just shading.
To summarize
・In the case of an overlay, "use a 50% gray base color for the shading" to get the best color!
・Hard light can be used even if the base shade is bright to some extent. On the other hand, do not make the color side too bright.
There was a long period in the past when I used "linear light" for coloring, but this was a time when I thought I could not get vivid colors with an overlay without much knowledge....
I could explain that method, but it is not intuitive at all and I don't recommend it :D
If you are concerned about this, please ask me. (I don't think there are any.)
In this way, you can enjoy the grisaille painting method using shades and colors that suit each layer blend!
I think there are some people who are able to create their own flavor without knowing it, so I hope those people will continue on with their knowledge and not let it break down!
Lisbon, Portugal trip from the end of September to October 2019, 2 combined I decided on a travel plan for a total of 2 weeks, still hot but past the peak of the season.
I'll come back to the 3-night Lisbon section later where we stopped at the beginning, but the entire Morocco trip was roughly as follows.
Days 1-3: Long bus ride from Fez Old City to Chefchaouen, sightseeing, then back to Fez.
Days 4-6: 3-day/2-night Sahara Desert tour. Arrive in Marrakech via the Sahara, Merzouka, and Ouarzazate in the south.
Day 7 Marrakech sightseeing
Day 8 Casablanca sightseeing
Day 9-11 Sightseeing in Rabat
The first half of the trip is until the arrival in Marrakech up to day 6, although the flow is like going around in a circle.
This was my first trip to the African continent and the Muslim world, and it was a trip that I later became quite captivated by because it was so different and exciting from traveling in Europe.
Even though I was traveling in Africa, Morocco is a safe country, and I often saw Japanese women traveling alone or in pairs, or even in couples.
Especially, Chefchaouen is a famous blue town in Morocco, so there were many Japanese women traveling by long-distance bus from Fez. (Of course, there were some things to be careful about, which I will write about later.)
Day 1: Arrival in Fez, walking around the old city, and lodging in Fez
There are two parts in Fez, the New Town and the Old Town, but it is basically the Old Town that is the tourist attraction. The Old Town is the most touristy part of the city, with many stores and inns crammed into its narrow streets.
You can enjoy strolling around the old town because there are many people from morning to night.
Many visitors to Fez will be going to Chefchaouen in the morning, so we recommend that you go in the day before to get a good idea of the location of the big CTM bus station just outside the old town and exchange your reservation ticket.
(It's complicated, but the noon departure will be from the New Town, which is a completely different location! (This is in 2019))
Reservations are required a week in advance because of its popularity. It will be difficult to get CTM tickets on the same day.
It is a short walk out of the old town wall.
(I met a Japanese couple at this bus stop and we hit it off a bit. They are a fierce couple whose first trip was to Morocco).
The next morning, we took a long-distance bus to Chefchaouen, which took about 5 hours including breaks.
We arrived at a bus stop a little bit far from the city, so we had to take a cab from there, but the cab drivers were very insistent with their outrageous prices! (I was asked to pay 100DH for a taxi. (I got there for 10 DH on the way back alone...10 times more!)
(I was with the aforementioned two people, so I refused and caught a cab on the road, and it went away like a son of a bitch. (We compromised with 40 DH for three people.)
Chefchaouen is a famous tourist destination for its blue streets.
It was impressive to see many Asian women in beautiful clothes taking pictures.
The view from the remote hill is also nice!
There are also many cats. (There are cats almost everywhere in the Muslim world.)
Since it is a tourist area, there are many stores and it is a good size tourist area for one night within walking distance.
There are a lot of things for sale, and now that I think about it, I felt it was kind of cheap for a tourist area. The more inaccessible tourist attractions may be more friendly and inexpensive.
I stayed one night and returned to Fez by CTM bus from noon in no time.
We stayed at the same place we booked through Airbnb.
It was a dormitory, but it was rented out, had a nice atmosphere and a cute cat, and was very comfortable, but the room was the type without a key (the room is at the back of the picture). I was fine, but the manager's acquaintances come and go, so women should check the room key before making a reservation!
Two nights with these guys.
The next morning, I left for the Sahara Desert, the main purpose of my stay.
It is a long trip by car from morning to evening, but we will stay at several points along the way.
There is a forest area where we can see wild monkeys, a restaurant for lunch, and a mysterious souvenir shop where we can see a forest canyon.
The area is like a gravel desert, as if to convey that Morocco, or rather Africa, is vast.
In the distance you can see the Atlas Mountains, but as they move away and the land finally turns yellow with nothing but sand, you can feel that the desert is getting closer.
One of the highlights of this tour is the opportunity to take pictures in the desert at sunset. We were so pressed that we didn't make it in time (laugh).
(The camel ride point is not yet in the desert.)
(The camel ride point is not in the desert yet.) From there, we moved on and rode camels through the desert at sunset to the camp.
The camel ride is a rare opportunity and very enjoyable, but the ride is not at all comfortable (laugh).
Your buttocks will get sore soon, and especially when you ride, the camel will stand up so fast that if you put your foot on the wrong place at the wrong time, you will be blown away and injured.
(I don't know why I had so many falls and injuries on this trip, and my companions were worried about me a lot.)
The guides in this area are Berbers, desert nomads and peddlers. There seem to be various Berber ethnic groups, but most of them are Arabs and some are not only Muslims, so they have a bit different culture.
In the tents, we enjoyed playing and dancing with another group, and when it was close to midnight, we were guided to a place a little further away to enjoy the stars in the night sky.
(I also recorded some photos of the night sky by trying my hand at long exposures, despite my ineptitude).
Our guide's turban was several meters long, and could be laid out on the sand to form a sheet, or used as a cool sunshade and a fashionable accessory during the day. I remember how useful it was.
We stayed overnight in a tent with a very ~very~ simple shower and toilet, and the next morning we had a chance for sunrise.
On the way back with the dog leading the camel.
The atmosphere was a bit gassy and not so clear, but we were already very emotional because this was our goal.
It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip.
After returning to the camel boarding point, we headed to the southern city of Marrakech via Merzouka and Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert.
In Merzouka, I was impressed by the explanation that Jews, Muslims, and others seem to have a long-standing culture of "visualization" in their daily lives, and that people can tell their religion and personal status by the way they wear their clothes, the number of dots painted on their house gates, and so on, without being spoken to, and that they try to avoid interfering more than necessary.
I felt that this is only possible in a place where many people who will cross the desert or who have crossed the desert have crossed the desert.
Next, Ouarzazate is a famous filming location for movies and dramas, and in 2019, it was featured as the filming location for "Game of Thrones!"
The city stands like a fortress along a large dried up river.
I'm sure many of you can remember it as the city where Khaleesi, the dragon queen, freed the slaves.
I came here on a tour without thinking much about it. I was so excited to be there!
When the group arrived, we were told that it was a self guided tour, but we got caught by a fake guide who said he had been waiting for us, and we had a bit of an argument.
(Be sure to check the contents and explanation of the tour.)
Finally, we spent one night in a hotel, which had a pool, so a few of us enjoyed it, albeit a bit chilly (early October), and then headed to Marrakech.
There are many more things I can recall, but this concludes the first half of the Chefchaouen and Sahara tour!
I will never forget the group of people I met on this Sahara Desert tour, even though we met on the spot, as a short but strong group of travel companions!
Last but not least, cat pictures.
I've uploaded about 600 photos like this, so please check back!
The second part is the cities of Marrakech, Casablanca, and Rabat!
Interlaken is a transit station for Lucerne, Grindelwald and Bern, so it was like a walk in waiting.
The water from the melting glaciers is milky white upstream, and as it goes downstream, it becomes a beautiful blue colour, and the blue scenery of the lake is one of the unique Swiss landscapes.
Interlaken, as the name suggests, is among the lakes, and you can see that landscape!
Beautiful Blue!
I almost missed the train because of my forced walk, so I dashed back to the station and managed to board.
We had to change trains, but we headed for Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn.
(I remember an elderly Japanese couple who seemed to have taken the wrong train on the way. (It's a long way from one station to the other, so it's not easy).
Once in the mountains, the scenery on the train was fantastic.
When you arrive in Zermatt, the Gornergrat railway station is right in front of you.
As soon as you get on the mountain railway, you start to see the Matterhorn.
There are several intermediate stations, but the plan is the same as in the Jungfrau, so you climb up to the Gornergrat station at the top.
From there it's an easy hike down to the halfway station on a hiking trail!
And then the summit.
The view is spectacular.
The station has shops, restaurants, exhibitions and even a church.
There is also an introduction to a Japanese woman who was the first female party to climb the Matterhorn in 67 years.
When you go up to the viewpoint, you can see the glacier on the opposite side of the Matterhorn.
We had the luxury of lunch (sandwiches) in this landscape, and then it was time to go hiking.
I remember thinking how lucky we really were to have good weather for this scenery.
It was so beautiful... I was surprised to find myself so impressed by the scenery, but it was certainly more than I had expected.
The summer landscape with its rocky terrain and glaciers was different from the lush green landscape of Kleine Scheidegg.
Even the dogs were impressed...?
The train goes down through a pond along the line you can see in the picture.
There is also a station at the location of that pond, and it seems a lot of people go down there to take certain pictures.
That is the Matterhorn upside down.
...I couldn't get a good shot because of the wind.
I remember thinking a little bit that this is great for everyday people too, as some people were taking a break or reading a book in this area.
After coming down from the rocky and glacier area, the green area was nice and breezy again, and I think the whole hike took about three hours, but I started to see the destination station below.
From there, we returned to Zermatt.
Looking back, it would have been nice to stay here overnight and see the Matterhorn at sunset and Zermatt at night, but we returned to our base in Grindelwald and that was the end of the third day.
Day 4 Bern is the capital of Switzerland. (I had an image of Zurich or Geneva, but no!)
The clock tower is the symbol of Bern.
I thought the capital would be a big city, but the town is quite old, with red roofs and a riverbank with a difference in elevation.
The view from the top of the church tower is spectacular, with a panoramic view of the city.
(The view from the top of the church tower is spectacular.)
We had time to look around slowly until the afternoon, and the fact that we were hiking in the wilderness the whole time was good because it felt like we were sightseeing in the town.
The last stop was Zurich.
I had time to see the luxury brand watches in Zurich, but I wasn't interested in the city area, so I just walked around.
But the most interesting things were the men playing chess in the park, and the atmosphere in the old areas with the elevation differences, the back alleys and along the lakeside.
I had the impression that it was relaxed and people didn't seem so busy.
It was the most intense four days, from the wilderness to the city.
It was one of the most inspiring and scenic trips I've ever been on!
I thought that if you want to be more efficient on this trip to Switzerland, you could stay in Interlaken at this stopover point.
(I'm still glad I stayed in Grindelwald, even though it cost me a bit of time and money for the train. (I don't want to travel with heavy luggage every day, so it's recommended to make a good relay point).
The train route is roughly like this, with Interlaken as a relay point.
Train fares are very expensive in Switzerland compared to other countries (especially for mountain trains), so it is certainly better to plan ahead.
On my four-day trip, I mainly used the mountain railways, so I bought a Half Fair Card, which is a pass that gives you half-price on all train fares.
I think there was also a travel pass for museum tours, but it didn't suit this trip because of the low discount rate on the mountain railways, which is the biggest expense, so I'd recommend the Half Fair Card for similar journeys!
So that's a sample of my trip to Switzerland and some photos!
・Copyright-free and commercial use Photo material ① "Switzerland Part 1"
I've just started distributing Photo material "Switzerland Part 1" and I thought I'd write an article about my trip while I'm releasing the sample!
I've always been an "on the spot" backpacking traveler, going to a place I was interested in and exploring the surrounding area. 2019 I was enjoying a working holiday in Ireland in my last year before Covid, and I was traveling around after I graduated from language school.
The purpose of the trip was to collect photo materials and experience various things, but the summer trip to the mountains of Switzerland was unforgettable.
One of the objectives was to take the Jungfrau Mountain Railway!
The train climbs the mountain overlooking the Eiger, the famous north face, and arrives at its summit at the Jungfrau Loch station, commonly known as the highest station in Europe.
So it was one of the places you definitely wanted to visit, even though I' m not a train geek.
I now think that it is not really a good idea to go for a short trip of 4 days and 3 nights, because this kind of trip depends a lot on the weather, which is especially important for mountain trips, but I was lucky enough to be very lucky with the weather that time.
The itinerary was
Day 1 Zurich Airport -> Lucerne -> Grindelwald (lodging)
Day 2: Grindelwald → Kleine Scheidegg → Jungfrau Loch → return
(The first half of this time)
(Photo material ends here)
Day 3 Grindelwald → Zermatt (at the foot of Matterhorn) → Gornergrat → return
Day 4: Grindelwald → Bern → Zurich → airport
On the first day, we went from Zurich airport to Lucerne, a lake town, for a half-day sightseeing tour, and then to Grindelwald, where we stayed at the hotel. It was a good place to see on foot.
It is a walled lake town, and you can see the bridge over the river and inside and above the old city walls.
Basically, long-distance trains depart and arrive from larger cities and towns, so it is a real pleasure for travelers to schedule good places according to their destinations.
Grindelwald, where we stayed, is said to be the setting of Heidi. It is located next to Kleine Scheidegg, the first station of the Jungfrau Railway, and at the foot of the Eiger's north face, so you can see the Eiger from anywhere.
The power of this landscape for breakfast on the veranda was beyond imagination.
It is the north face where many climbers have burned their lives.
The Jungfrau Railway takes you up to Kleine Scheidegg by train and then you change trains, but the view there is also spectacular.
This area is closer to what I was looking for than the summit. It is beyond the world of Heidi.
In fact, there are hiking trails around here, and the altitude is over 2000m. It is absolutely recommended to stay here for a few hours to acclimatize your body before heading to the higher summit, and to walk around the area on a nice day.
Temperatures are cool and comfortable even in summer.
After some time, the Jungfrau Railway finally takes you to the summit, Jungfrau Loch station.
There are several stations, but once you enter the tunnel, it is easy to see that the temperature drops dramatically.
The altitude is about 3500 meters above sea level, and it is naturally snowy even in summer.
There is a hiking route, and the more obvious it is, the more breathtaking it is.
However, the view of the glacier from the observatory is exceptional.
There are birds around the observatory, making it a popular spot for tourists' cameras, and the weather was beautiful, so a compact down jacket was all I needed to keep me warm.
Inside the building, there is an ice sculpture exhibit using an ice tunnel and a panel exhibit on the history of the ice sculptures, so even if you are really cold, you can still enjoy the exhibits inside the observation deck.
(There is also a café, although it is a bit expensive.)
) ...I think I had enough and here comes the amazing part....
We are going back to Kleine Scheidegg station again, but there is a station one step before that, in front of the tunnel into the Jungfrau. (I forgot the name).
We get off there and hike down to Kleine Scheidegg!
Can you see the scale of this? That panoramic view is unforgettable.
It is an easy and spectacular hike that you can enjoy for 2 hours, just walking towards the Kleine Scheidegg station.
Leave the climbing to the train and skim the cream!
(I'm sure the cows think so too)
That's how we ended our second day back in Grindelwald, and that's only "two days" of information so far.
It has been a ridiculously intense trip.
I was told to pack as much as I could because we were on a bullet train to begin with, but I guess it was a result of my body getting used to moving as much as possible based on local judgment in accordance with the main purpose of the trip.
But when the weather is perfect and the day is like this, my body moves.
So that was the sample photos and travelogue of the first part of Switzerland, how do you like it?
Mainly mountains, mountainsides, plains, cottages, cows? I think this is a good material for photos such as the following.
We have about 600 photos like this, so if you are interested, please click here!
The Grindelwald-Youth-Hostel is a nice dormitory with a spectacular view, but it is located on a hill, so if you have a suitcase, you may want to tie up your suitcase at the time of the bus service, or backpack is recommended since the location is quite high up. Charging devices are not enough because they are not per bed (which is an unusual pattern), so I had to borrow a power supply in the dining room or relaxing area to charge before going to bed.
(I used Expedia, Ryanair, and Aerlingus (both of which are well-known budget airlines from Ireland) to book flights, and Booking.com and Airbnb to find cheap dormitories (shared rooms) for lodging.

This is an illustration of OC, Gigi, for an anonymous client.
I got used to working with ClipStudioPant and drew a good picture!
It's easy to use the floor material from ClipStudio.
The use of fog is a habit of mine from when I was making backgrounds for games, and I think it's a good way to save time :D
An OC request from an anonymous client, her name is Gigi! She's a detective who is haunted by ghosts. Thank you very much!
The pose was pretty good on the first move, so I was able to finish it as is, which was pretty quick.
The ghosts are quite messy, but the fingertip tool is fun to use and makes it easy to create a shimmering effect.
This is a little bit different because I adjusted the highlights after exporting the time lapse. (You can see the difference in the hair.)
Sometimes the quicker we can get things done, the better the response from people and the quicker we can get things done, and that's exactly what happened with this one!
--
This time it's a request from Vtuber Iinakyu!
I used ClipStudioPaint to finish the whole thing, so I added a sample color layer on top of the PSD because the result changed when I converted it to PSD.
Clip data is useful, but it doesn't have the features that Photoshop users want, so it takes some trial and error.
It's great for line drawing and brushes, but it doesn't offer much in the way of image editing and filters.
I don't want to have to go back and forth between PSD and ClipStudio (especially the time-lapse feature), so if I'm going to use ClipStudio, I'd rather complete it there!
This time I finished it in ClipstudioPaint so I could export a time lapse! So I put it up!
(This is a blog because it has video)
I've been thinking about moving to ClipStudio since I'm used to its brushes and such, but it's nice to have a feature like this to share. (Maybe it's because the material data and library are kept separate?)
I was asked to make Iinakyuu a wizard, so I decided to use a white pink base with green magic.
I don't know if it can be called a design, but I wrote a lot of things out of habit, so I hope you like it!

My first OC request of the new year is from Ashia Vain!
If I can get it out this year, I'll start posting high-resolution versions of the shading and rough stages!
I've been using ClipStudio for everything except finishing.
--
First up for the new year is Ashia Vain's OC artwork data!
I drew this one mostly in ClipStudio, but I used Photoshop's usual actions to do the finishing touches around the filters and textures.
I'm sure I could have done it in ClipStudio too, but it's quite tricky to transfer various settings and materials, and it's hard to leave the ease of use of Photoshop's layer styles.
Now I realize that the number of layers is considerably reduced by the layer styles.
When I moved from ClipStudio to Photoshop, it was almost rasterized, but it looks like the adjustment layers are still there.
It's getting late here, but I spent the New Year's holiday in the countryside with my grandmother, whom I hadn't seen in three years.
It was cold here in Nagano, but the weather was fine and we had a nice New Year's Eve.
I hadn't been able to go back to Japan due to the corona disaster caused by studying abroad, so walking along the snowy Nagano Electric Railway was a great feeling of being in Japan.
Thinking about it, I think it was because I only went out for a walk after I came back to Japan, so it felt rather fresh.
This year, of course, I'm going to paint, but in that sense, I'd like to be active outside as well, or rather, I'd like to be able to consume and motivate myself at the same time.
There are things I'd like to study more about painting, like speed painting, which is a new approach for me personally, and I'd like to go back to the way I drew in the past.
I'm still having fun thinking about the layered structure and all that, so I'm going to keep working on Skeb and commissions as I see fit!
I'll continue to update the FANBOX, so I hope to see you all again this year!
I always draw rabbits for New Year's cards, it's because I started illustrating New Year's cards in the year of the rabbit, and I've been using them as my main illustrations ever since( ´∀` )

This year's final PSDs are two works that I made Youtube videos of but haven't uploaded PSDs of yet!
BFZ's work is an unusual indoor illustration with a perspective look, so it has a different layer structure than usual.
In the case of character illustrations, I used to make color, shading, and line drawings for each character, but in the case of large illustrations that include backgrounds, I separate the shading and color for the entire illustration, but I separate each color file.
(As you can see, it's not very efficient to separate the shading and color for every object...)
Making of video: https://youtu.be/bNvqbLfZ7Sk
HugSomebody's dragon girl illustration has a lot of luminescence, so I hope you'll enjoy it!

I'd like to thank all of you who have been supporting Fanbox, which I started this year.
I'd like to finish my own work when I get enough support, but I haven't been able to do much at the moment, so I'm worried that I might not be able to meet your expectations, so I'm hoping to take some action next year.
Events are finally coming back to life, and I'd like to publish another book if I can.... There seems to be a lot of things I can try.
I feel that I'm being overwhelmed by the many things I can do, so I feel it's important to narrow down my focus for next year... I'm keenly aware of that.
In any case, I'd like to thank all of you who signed up for the support plan! I hope to draw something a lot next year too!
https://youtu.be/bNvqbLfZ7Sk

This time, the high-resolution data is an illustration of a room that looks like me at the end of the year... I don't know if it is, but it's an unusually complex picture.
https://youtu.be/bNvqbLfZ7Sk
It was a work that I made into a making video, but the method of drawing characters that I built for Skeb is not very efficient, so I thought it would be better to use a more general method in some cases.
I've tried to make it more efficient in many ways, but I still think it's hard to make a single picture with a background, and that might be a problem with the way I do it, so I wanted to study it more.
I also found a rough image of it, so here it is!

Merry Christmas everyone!
I haven't been able to draw many pictures that I can show to the public lately, so I drew this one just to relax, but I think it's important to draw pictures like this for fun and to lift your spirits.
I'm always thinking about it, but I always want to draw more casually, but I don't seem to be able to...
The style that I started out with, which was not too rigid, somehow ended up becoming a work in progress as I built it up, and there may be a lot of repetition, but it also gives me a sense of polishing as I try to simplify and cut down on various things.
I'm sure that's a good thing, but please give me a brain that can draw more with less Santa Claus, like this time.
I'm going to devour the cake while wishing for that!

This data is also from a while ago, but it was commissioned by Ouroboros Moon!
Since she uses electric shocks, I thought it would be cool to draw her in a flashy action pose with mainly effects.
I think it's fun to draw a picture that shows what kind of ability the OC is using at a glance.
Maybe it's because I've been playing games for a long time, or maybe I'm more suited to that kind of thing.

This time it's a commissioned work by Ouroboros moon!
I was asked to draw a cool action pose for a blitz-using OC.
I had some rough data left, so I'll try to upload it as well.
I'm very happy with this picture because it turned out cool, although I personally like idea B as well.

I'm sorry to slip in at the end of November!
I thought it would be interesting to compare the two from last year.
I thought it would be interesting to compare them. If you want to complete your work completely with grisaille, it depends a lot on the process and the layer structure, so I'm trying to change it a little bit every day, but when I look at them like this, there are a lot of differences...

This is another request from Sabrith Ebonclow, both were past work!
It's from last year, so the process was based on the way I draw now, and there are a few things I've been reviewing that I might want to go back to. The filters in particular are much simpler.
I wonder if that's why the data is so light...?
It's too simple to look at, but the background of the second data is a smart object, so I thought Photoshop could open it and look at it.
I've recently bought Clipstudio and have been using it, but I'm wondering if this PSD data might be rather meaningless to Clipstudio users because it can't refer to Photoshop functions....
I've been using a lot of adjustment layers and layer styles, so those seem to be removed....
