Quick Question
Added 2025-01-13 08:48:52 +0000 UTCI have a short question that I could use your help answering. Since this would mainly concern you besides myself, I'm addressing it to you. As you may have read, this is a hobby for me and the time I have available for it I want to put almost exclusively into the development of the game. Therefore, besides the early release, there are no real benefits for Patreons such as exclusive renders, etc. as this would simply take time away from the available development time for me. The mood shots in the last 2 updates are a good exercise as I try out techniques there that I want to use later in the main game. I think I'll keep these as they are also quite fun to try out.
When I look at other channels with similar content, the updates they give are almost exclusively dedicated to paying Patreons. Do you think I should also publish these exclusively for your benefit? In exchange, I could, for example, write a monthly open update and do the weekly updates just for you. Also to be open about it, the updates generate the most traffic when you guys click on them. Once they go freely into public, they don’t generate that much additional traffic.

I will keep the weekly updates in general, as I think it is fair to the people who support me to have at least, as it is now, a small insight into the progress. None of the options mentioned would produce more work for me.

Your story is so captivating that I think most people would agree. I don't support you because of benefits. I support you because you mad me cry with the story you're telling. Keep doing what you're doing my friend.
