patreon 2022 changes (feedback welcome)
Added 2021-12-23 17:58:06 +0000 UTChi, i mentioned this on twitter yesterday but i didn't mention what changes i had in mind as they're not concrete lol
i want to hear what you have to say about this and if there's something you want me to change out of my list of potential changes.
- the biggest change would be no more second patreon picture.
i'm proposing this change cuz i often find myself unable to properly find time to work on other stuff like commissions or random stuff. by the time i finish the second picture, the polls have already started/are close to starting and i have around a week where i can do other stuff before the polls end and i have to do the 2 patreon pics. it becomes a cycle.
however, to counteract this, i have 2 more changes
- the remaining poll winner will be decided by whoever takes first place in the character poll and last place in the kink poll
i can keep it chaotic this way lol. i chose to make the kink option the chaotic one cuz lets be honest, the kink is what really matters in this lmao
- i'm thinking of bringing back the sketches for the $5 tier
you know, where i'd select like 5 comments at random and draw those, but instead of them being in one big image, they'll each be separate. shouldn't be too hard as sketches are easier than lineart and shading lol.
if you disagree with something or feel something can be tweaked better, please let me know so we can come up with something that might be better
edit: forgot to mention this but i'll put a pause on the billing part during february as i'll be away from home for about a week around the end of said month. i'd like to use that time to take a bit of time off, so i'll make it so people aren't billed for that month only

i don't think i can hide poll numbers sadly, so i think i'll go with something like the third place being the winner

2021-12-24 21:27:06 +0000 UTCIf I understand what you're saying, you mean you will have only one poll picture, that's the first place character and last place kink, right? My only concern with that is it's not going to be as chaotic as you're expecting, because people can just vote for the ones they don't want in the kink poll. All that will happen is that people will reverse what they pick in the polls, but with the same end result. I would suggest picking the median place, instead. That way it's not as simple as people picking what they do/don't want in order to win. Even better if you can set the result to be hidden until people make their votes and seal them in, so people don't vote based on current results. They'd have to gamble on whether their pick will work out favorably for them or not.
