That's actually super interesting, thanks for directing me to that! That makes it even more mysterious that it was an in-house thing, makes me wonder what other mysteries are out there.

I will say after watching the first time, I did do a bit of digging of my own for the origin of the “It Takes Two” recording. Best evidence I could get was from a Bulbapedia Talk page where user PokemonTrainerLisa said she met Veronica Taylor at New York Comic Con in February 2009 and asked about this specifically. See below: https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia_talk:Project_Music#It_Takes_Two Basically, the song was supposedly recorded for something in-house, meaning it might not have appeared in a commercial after all. What it was used for or why is up in the air. But it’s safe to assume that it was leaked online by a staff member at 4Kids, and frankly thank Arceus that they did. I know that’s technically hearsay on the situation, but it’s about the best we’ve got.
