This is regional weekly wrestling in the 70's and early 80's. This is what I grew up watching.

2025-04-23 01:01:38 +0000 UTCIt was cool to see you guys experience an older weekly show. Prior to the Monday Night War a lot of the weekly television shows were like this. There were plenty of short matches with the stars showcasing themselves against "local talent" or recurring lower card talent commonly called jobbers. As you got closer to the MNWs you saw a slow drip of giving more away on the weekly shows until ultimately the cards were completely superstar vs superstar matches, but into the early 90s this is primarily what weekly wrestling looked like. To see a lot of superstar vs superstar matches you had to attend live shows or buy PPVs.
