As a kid I loved Tommy Dreamer, so this was so disheartening to hear him say when the episode first came out, now he just sucks as a person and it is a big shame

2025-03-27 03:32:15 +0000 UTCThere was a other flight attendant in the lawsuit who did not participate in this documentary. She says that both Flair and Dustin Rhodes assaulted her. Dustin largely came off without any damage to his reputation due to this flight attendant not participating in this episode. Many people who do know about this detail find it very odd that it wasn't brought up at all by the dark side of the ring people. Dustin even came off positively due to him being nice to one of the attendants that he wasn't accused of sexually assaulting. Dustin was fined by WWE after this plane ride. I don't think Flair was.

Dark Side of the Ring is such a great show because it calls out the BS in wrestling. I'll always love this business. But I now know who to not praise when they're on screen. There are so many more other off-putting episodes like this. Cover ups, blind eyes and injustice. Oh, and fuck Ric Flair too!

2025-03-26 17:51:20 +0000 UTCAfter a bit of research, you’re right but a lot of people are confused about it for a couple reasons - It’s a crazy plane story - It probably happened after Insurrection 2001 and this happened after Insurrection 2002. - All lot of irresponsible journalists call it a “Plane Ride from Hell” story for the sake of STO and clicks. It’s still a wild story though so I’ll keep it up.

He was so drunk he thought he was at the toilet trying to whip his dick out and kept saying “Wait a minute.” Insurrextion, along with another show called Rebellion, were PPVs that only aired in the UK. The one this incident occurred after was the second to last one. They were glorified house shows as stories weren’t progressed since the US audience didn’t see them. That soundbyte of X-Pac talking about cutting Hayes ponytail, off is straight out of a shoot interview on YouTube. I feel so sorry for Heidi because she seems like such a sweet woman who did not deserve to be treated like that. The comments Dreamer made in this has irreversibly changed the common perception of him amongst wrestling fans. Everyone else comes on good in this, with the exception of RVD when he said he saw Heidi being accosted by Flair and didn’t do anything. The juxtaposition at the end was a bit funny not going to lie. Tally: Can I hug Heidi? Josh: Fuck that guy. Even Vince or JR could have said no we’re not having another cart until we take off. Yeah nah Tally cutting Hayes ponytail off wouldn’t have affected his character because he wasn’t on screen. Those ads for Dark Side of the Ring were for season 3 the this episode was in. There is a new season that started on Tuesday though.

2025-03-26 17:08:00 +0000 UTCThey didn’t even cover everything that happened on the plane. Another more light hearted story is the one about how The Undertaker nearly choked out Kurt Angle. Taker, Vince, Angle, and all the other main eventers and important backstage guys were in the front, which, as they said, was much more calm. Taker was taking a nap when Vince jokingly challenged Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle to a wrestling match (because of course he did). Kurt Angle obviously got him quickly to the ground, when Taker woke up, thought Kurt was attacking Vince and put him in a chokehold which he only let go of when Vince told him what was happening. And remember, this was the more normal part of the plane. Also, both Scott Hall and Dustin Rhodes went through a couple of years with some rough addition problems, so I’m willing to cut them a little bit of slack. Thankfully, they both got clean because (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a thousand times more) DDP is the best human being in this business. On the other hand, Ric Flair was just a fucking prick. Even without this, way too many well-respected people had heat with him, including Mick Foley who literally no one has ever said anything bad about.

Man straight up compared his ponytail to sexual harassment. This was also a rare Dustin Rhodes L. Normally, you’d scarcely hear, if ever, someone say a bad thing about him. The whole Rhodes family is pretty much universally beloved as great people.
