Idk why but Bubba Ray chucking the announce table cover at Kane made me laugh a lot. Tally taking a minute to realize that Austin turned heel was hilarious.

Just as one example, rather than sticking DDP in that awful stalker storyline with Undertaker, they could have built toward DDP (the "People's Champion" of WCW) against The Rock (the "People's Champion" of WWE).

Lotta first time appearances in this one! Also shortly after this match they’d start calling the WCW/ECW side The Alliance because Heyman told them he had the rights to the ECW name and he actually didn’t. Heyman also did that to the Dudley's, telling Bubba and D-Von he had the name rights until they left in 05 where they were informed that they couldn’t use those names because WWE got them when they purchased ECW. Also, fun fact, Invasion is the highest bought non WrestleMania PPV ever with 775,000. The two PPVs on either side of Invasion were King of the Ring, which had a buy rate of 445,000 and SummerSlam which had a buy rate of 570,000. WrestleMania X-Seven earlier in year had 1,040,000 buys and X8 the next year had 860,000. So you can see how much interest The Invasion Angle and the show its self had and how much that interested dropped within a month.
