I think they did better spots and stuff in the second match. Although it should have been Last Man Standing instead of Styles vs Nakamura from Money in the Bank the next night. I would have had the third and final match be I Quit in that initial saga and then, if Ciampa hadn’t gotten hurt, Hell in a Cell at New York. I guarantee that’s where they were heading.

2024-10-12 05:44:44 +0000 UTCEven if we ignore all the wrestling the match is pretty bad. It's horribly lit, sometimes it's way too bright and sometimes way too dark. The sound is terrible, when they have that cringe drone shot you hear the drone sound over everything else. The camera work and editing is garbage as well. That's just if you ignore the wrestling itself, including the wrestling it just becomes a jumbled mess that goes on way too long and includes way too many melodramatic moments. There are awesome matches that have happened without a crowd (daniel bryan vs roman reigns), they just had very talented wrestlers.

We can discuss about their choices how to book this one, but I think it just felt out of place mostly because it was one of the first (if not the first) big match in 2020 without a crowd. I recently rewatched “one final beat” and it’s not that bad. It’s not great, it’s not bad. It just doesn’t have “it” factor while comparing this one to their previous matches at Takeovers. By using the same logic we can all say that every Wrestlemania 36 match is a piece of garbage which obviously isn’t the truth :D

Never seen this done before or after. It only lasted a couple of months if I recall. Then he got actual music which is one of my personal favorites.
