You sure witnessed a moment, one of the best in Wrestlemania history. Macho Man was Mr. Wrestlemania from around WM3 to WM8. Just a classic character with fun matches and promos.

Whattttt

Big Ell

Nice choice but yeah some context for them would have probably been better!

Big Ell

He looked it up briefly after the match :(

Big Ell

Probably should mention here (unless Josh looked it up during the match) that Miss Elizabeth died of a drug overdose in 2003.

It’s wild that Hogan got a great match out of Warrior too and he was no where near the wrestler Macho Man was.

They’ll be more Macho Man soon when I suggest the other two matches with DDP.

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

Oh no. My makeup is ruined 😅

Jennifer Lindgren

She was actually a face when she won the Women’s Title in 87 but as a manager I think she was always a heel.

Cool, classic late 80s/early 90s Macho Man and a Warrior match too. I’ve never seen this so it’ll be fun to watch with you guys.

And Talli you weren't the only one crying and I have seen this match multiple times.

Sherri wrestled as Sensational Sherri before she semi retired and became a manager. I think she was always a heel. That is why she did so much because she was trained. She is in the hall of fame. Macho Man's music is Pomp and Circumstance, which is played at graduations.

Macho Man was just awesome Wrestlemania 7 was in 1991 Im gonna send yall a Macho Man match from 1983 for the Tally Tier matches next month. The Ultimate Warrior he was ok but he really just got over because of his looks most of his matches people carried him. Dark Side of the Ring made a really good documentary about Warrior.

John Coffey

WW[E] used to have a semi-annual, non-televised King of the Ring tournament. Some of the winners would add the King title to their gimmick (Macho Man, Harley Race, and Haku), while others would eschew it (Bret Hart is the only two time winner - one non-televised, and again on the inaugural PPV). Macho Man would go by "Macho King" for almost 2 years following him losing the WW[E] title to Hogan at WrestleMania V.

In real life they were married from 84-92. In storyline she was his manager but he kind of mistreated her(that’s why she was holding the ropes for him initially). He became especially controlling and mistrusting of her in his feud with hogan. By 89 he had split from her in storyline and turned heel. This was them getting back together and macho man subsequently turning face; it was a big moment at the time. You were also right he did win king of the ring, hence the name, macho king. Which he went back to being macho man after this show. His “retirement” didn’t last long.

My bad for the lack of context and the hard to pronounce username lol. I love the selling from both guys in this match, and the ending of course. Ain't wrestling cool when I guess even without context (oops) tears can come to your eyes. Macho man is goated. A lot less technical wrestling but still a good match. And agree with another comment here that macho did well to have a good match with warrior. Probably one of only a few good matches he had in my opinion lol. An other being WM 6 vs Hogan. Oooh yeeeeahhhh. Also great commentary from monsoon and heenan even though they don't know what a flying shoulder tackle is called lol

Diruroru

Great match I dont know how savage got gd match out of him

Ryan Evans

machoman and elizabeth were married from 1984-92, she was managing him from 85-88 then had a rivalry from 89-90 before they reunited in this match

Jayshawn Robinson

Macho man was definitely the cream of the crop 🔥🔥💯💯

Phillyman!!

Thats one of my favorite wrestlemania matches, when i first watched it i was very very surprised on how good it was lol

WWE Jay Gaming

Can’t wait for you to do the royal rumble match from 1992. One of the best rumbles and the best these announcers did in their careers imo. I think this was your first match with these announcers if I’m not mistaken. Bobby the brain and gorilla monsoon. 🔥🔥

Phillyman!!
