A good long one I’d never seen. Interesting that it was called the WWE UK championship here instead of NXT UK, that would change after this, I guess. Fun fact - WALTER (Gunther) Marcel Barthel (Ludwig Kaiser), and Fabian Aichner (Giovanni Vinci) were all called by their real names here at first. Unfortunately they had to all change them for the main roster so WWE would own the rights. At first, Gunther was such a weird name but now we are all used to it.

2024-08-27 18:27:35 +0000 UTCI thought about suggesting this but it’s so long I second guessed it. I’ve not watched it since it happened, but I still remember the Powerbomb into the ring post. There's three NXT UK Title matches that are must watches: Bate vs Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover Chicago (the show where Ciampa turned on Gargano), Dunne vs Walter from Takeover New York (where Gargano beat Adam Cole for the vacant NXT Title) and Walter vs Ciampa from Takeover Stand & Deliver 2021. Additionally, NXT UK was shut down in 2022 and NXT Europe was supposed to launch last year but never did, possibly due to the merger with UFC into TKO.

I’m sorry “Big Strong Boy” sounds like a 5 year old came up with that it doesn’t sound tough at all. Imagine Samantha Irvin saying that “Weighing in at ____ lbs from ____ he is the Big Strong Boy Tyler Bate!” I can’t imagine that 😂😂😂
