Nothing much to report on, still working on the double decker module as well as animating. Nothing worth showing yet. Funding is dropping too which is making it hard to acquire new components, so I am working on what I have built so far rather than trying to build a second module at the same time tbh. 

Mice are in Hampture, Pond Installation, etc.

4 mice purchased, one escaped, two currently submerged

They can be viewed live on the Twitch channel right now. I've set a non-lethal trap for the escaped one, hopefully that works out. If not, back to the pet store. >:I

Pond update

Having trouble getting video off my new phone, sorry for no YouTube video. A lot is happening in the yard though. You wanted a pond, you're getting a pond! This was always necessarily the next step for this project, can't stay in the aquarium forever. Now...about that dome. It will be necessary at some point to keep the pond from filling up with leaves from the trees providing shade. I really want to also house the land cages around the pond, inside the dome. Near-final plan for the new aquarium setup

Subject to change, but I doubt if much will at this point. Because of the double thiccness ballast pods these will also be inter-operable with megahab, should I ever have access to a body of water I can submerge it into. The water bottle is internal this time so it can be removable, which is more durable than mounting the cap permanently and simplifies refilling vs how it currently works.

I feared the worst after not seeing him on cam for several days and just went to confirm it. Indeed, unfortunately, Dick has passed on from this mortal coil. An undergrounder by birth, he dwelled in the depths all the way until his final moments. He will be buried in a tasteful, fancy felt lined box that a lighter I ordered recently came in.

Fundraising for HamDome has begun

Basically an outdoor geodesic dome enclosure I can keep a larger population of hamsters in, without taking up indoor space. The amount I receive through Patreon currently is enough to cover many living expenses plus habitat parts, but I will need a lump sum to cover the upfront cost of the dome and to prepare the land for it.

More progress on various stuff. Need to fully rebuild Hampture module 2 it turns out, can't afford currently, Patreon fell by around $50 just this month. I'll save my pennies and get it done, I promise, but it may take a while. 

New fitting is installed in module 2 of Hampture

 I will start a 72 hour in-water test following tonight's stream. If the solution turns out to be this simple, I'll be relieved. Also glad I checked all the simple potential problems first before doing a teardown + rebuild

EDIT: This solved one source of water ingress but not the other, a long gnarly crack in the habitat shell I assume resulted from tightening the bolts connecting the ballast pods too much. I will need to tear down and rebuild it with a new hab shell and perhaps a...

Following some troubleshooting I replaced broken cables and while I was at it, cut a new climbing tunnel as Dick just about destroyed the old one. Everything's online and good as new for the moment.
