Wataponno's 2023 review and plans for 2024

Hello everyone!

First of all we wish you a very merry christmas and a happy new year! This year was awesome for us, and it's 100% because of you all. You are, individually and collectively, the best community we could ask for. 

Our goal for 2023 was to finish half the story for MMA. And it's done! On top of that, we DOUBLED the size of MMA, from 12 girls to 27! 27!! It baffles me to be honest.

And now, what's our goals for 2024? I'm glad you asked. 2024 will be, by far, the biggest year. Here's what we're gonna do:

• Release MMA on steam (finish the story, add a dozen or so girls).
• Do most of the post release updates of MMA (wishlist the game to unlock them!) 
• Deliver Magical Waifus Academy and Draconic Date on Linux, Android and MacOS
• Release Magical Waifus Academy in japan

How are we gonna do that? BY GOING FULL TIME BABYYYYY! That's right, Wataponno's an official studio now! 

Until now, Wataponno was a passion project for me, doing that in my downtimes and after work. A couple people are hired by Wataponno (our amazing artists and VAs), but not myself. But the growth we had this year and your passion towards our project pushed me over the edge. It's time to put the Ponno in Wataponno.

What does it mean for you? More game. More stuff to do with what's already there. As the game designer and programmer, it's my job to make the world feel alive, and that's what I intend to do in 2024. 

So, truly, from the bottom of my hearth, thank you. Thank you for being there for the ride. For supporting this game day after day, month after month, and making it a reality. You are the best, and we truly couldn't do it without you all.

And finally, I'd like to thank each and every person who puts their talent into this game. Tz, Filipe, Yara, Tempty, L95, Mayin, Akuji, Ema, Rappenem, and so many more.  Also Lad and Blue our awesome discord mods, Meltet and Kaeb for their dumb impossible ideas, and each and everyone one of you. Active community members or lurker, we all love you <3
