This video convinced me to become a patron. Bleach was what got me into anime. It got me through some tough times. It also frustrated me so much. The first Bleach video confirmed, validated, and explained my issues with the later seasons. The second video showed Wolf's careful methodical genius. My contribution is my small thank you for the sacrifice of your 80 hour weeks to make this video.

Awesome video! Amazing content and your view point and the decline kind of resonated with the feeling I had when I read the manga 2 years ago. After Aizen's capture, it just seemed like a big rebrand of the same story from then on.

I think you wrongly beat yourself up about largely minor factual details, I actually think so many of the people who jumped on you focused on those factual points and really cared about what someone else thought is because they know deep in their hearts you had a point. That's why telling people not to care what other people think (which is a good point) still won't make a difference to those people. Like any effective insult - it stings because it rings true. The important part of that video was never anything about sales or order charts or whatever. It was about bleach disappointing people. One reason why it had so much traction is because it is something that resonates with most people who have read bleach. We all fell in love with Bleach over the Soul Society arc and then we fell out of love with it. Maybe they weren't crushingly disappointed in it after Soul Society as I certainly was and you probably were but consciously or not they must know that what followed never lived up to that moment. That the majority of Bleach was living in the shadow of Soul Society And I think it's the almost off hand comment you make about being a fan means engaging critically is the more important message /thing to pa attention to for fans
