Villains in Wrestling: The Art of Making People Hate You

Thank you so much for your wrestling videos (just finished the first one; Shenmue and The Undertaker are still ahead) - I spontaneously started looking into the topic because my D&D players decided to not just visit the arena in my fantasy metropolis but send one of theirs in to actually fight. I had not wanted an ancient Rome colosseum style thing in my world so I had already spread the rumor that there was regularly "drama" between the "gladiators" and such and intended to use it as a mostly fun backdrop. But if they now dive into it, I need to put more work into making it tangible and complex. Since wrestling never really spoke to me as a form of entertainment (despite my deep respect for the athletic work and the hard work the participants do), your videos are absolute gold to me here. Thank you so much! My players probably will, too, at the end.
