Why You Should Watch Outlaw Star

This week we’re talking about Outlaw Star.
So, this has been a very long time coming, one of those shows that I knew I was going to do a video about some day, and here it is.
With the exception of Jojo videos, I haven't done a “Why You Should Watch” in a couple of years, and to be honest, they just became a little too… “easy”. After doing a lot of them, the structure and format started to feel very routine and I found myself falling into comfortable writing patterns, and I never wanted to be that kind of creator, who have that one video or tone and just repeat it until people don't want to watch anymore, so I decided I was going to stop doing WYSWs altogether, even though I know people still like them. I think it was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made for my channel, as it forced me to be more weird and experimental with my videos, and I think that ended up opening me up to a whole new audience.
That said, here we are with a new Why You Should Watch!
I knew what I wanted to say with this video, and the label of “why you should watch” felt appropriate, so I just went with it, but that said, I tried pretty hard to get as creative with the format as I could, and I had a lot of fun! I do definitely still feel pretty done with this style of video, and i'm really excited about some of the weirder stuff I have coming up, but it was fun to work in this style again, but to try and keep it interesting.

As someone who long thought they were the only person who loves Outlaw Star, and has been experiencing that feelings of isolation during this global pandemic, as well as the stress of being an essential worker, your video really hit home for me and brought up old feelings I hadn't felt since I was a 12-year-old weeb watching Adult Swim's anime block when it was just starting out. I hope one day you decide to make a Why You Should Watch video dedicated to Trigun.

Given how much stress I imagine a major content creator is under to keep coming up with new ideas, I'd like to reiterate my well-wishes. You might be interested to know that I've actually started video editing myself as a result of my being so impressed with your editing. My level is Cambrian-Era basic at the moment but at least that's better than nothing. I say that to reiterate that you're actually making these videos has a positive impact on people - certainly for me. I doubt I'll ever have the commitment to be half as good as you, but what's more important is that I'm having fun at the moment - the same emotion I feel when watching most of your videos.
