Why You Should Still Watch Hunter X Hunter

A new video just went live on the channel!
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtGoikgbxP4F3rgI9PldI9g
As some of you probably know from my recent posts, I’ve been feeling a lot of creative burnout the past couple of weeks, and I know “Burnout” is a popular topic on YouTube right now, but I don’t really know how else to describe it, and so for the final video of the year I wanted to talk about what I’ve been feeling.
Initially I wanted to just do a video on HXH and while that still is what the video is, I think it also ended up very different from my other stuff in a way that I’m really happy with, but I have no idea what a larger audience will make of it.
Everything else I want to say is in the video, but I can’t express enough my gratitude for your continued support and I hope you have a great time over the holidays doing whatever it is you like to do (i'm going to be returning to my parents for a week and playing a copious amount of games and watching an unseemly amount of anime). I will be back in the new year, but in the meantime, I really hope you enjoy the video.
(oh also, if your a new patron and dont see your name in the list at the end, it should be there for the next vid)
ALSO: one final thing, if your at Magfest and want to meet up, message me on the discord and we'll do a Patreon coffee/hang out. I love meeting you guys, so don't be shy.
Thanks again for the continued support, Happy Holidays <3

On the topic of the video though, I don't know if it were mere coincidence, but I did comment a few months ago if you had ever considered somewhat remaking your "Why you should watch Hunter X Hunter video" and welp there it was, but I was extremely happy to watch it and the video even pointed out quite a few things about the show I hadn't already realized myself so thank you for that. Hoping you'll do your big reveal on your 3rd favorite anime soon, I'm anxious to see it someday. With that all said, great job as usual. You're probably my favorite YouTuber and the only one I have notifications on for. Hopefully one day you can come to Hawaii for Kawaii Kon! I'm sure the Kon director would love to have you here. It would be great for you to come here and experience the love and unity that everyone around the globe praises Hawaii and it's people for :) And also random thing I've been wanting to tell you but I didn't want to just vomit it randomly, I hope if you haven't yet you can take the time to play EarthBound. Been feeling rather down myself lately, but deciding to play that game was just the right thing to get me inspired and thinking all night again. Take care!!

2019-02-10 20:30:44 +0000 UTCFirst of all, I've been meaning to write this for some time because I'm so bad with words that it hurts to even type sometimes.. However, whatever it is you're going through, I hope you can choose to feel empowered and inspired by it all in time rather than beaten down by it. From watching your material since your first video, I really feel like you are a type of person who resonates very deeply with things in all types of media, and I am too and sooo, not gonna lie, we are probably among a more "sensitive" bunch of people (wow i did not want to word it like that but like I said earlier I suck at finding the correct words) so I definitely understand how the burnout as well as some other personal things can get to you on a fundamental level. definitely. Really glad that you're taking a break though. It's probably for the best since all of that editing and scripting takes a lot of time and thought. (edit: i didnt mean to end it there, damn it i'll just continue on another comment)

2019-02-10 20:22:00 +0000 UTCI feel like there's even more to the Horikoshi burnout with some of these recent chapters, and I was wondering if that impacts your view of Hunter x Hunter at all. There are now pages of just dialogue, sometimes with very little drawing, if any at all. Just panel after panel of exposition. Do you think that puts a sour note in HxH?
2019-01-06 05:42:34 +0000 UTCYour Passion for what you've talked about is why so many are here watching your videos. Do not let your perceived expectations you have of us keep you from taking care of your loved ones or yourself. I love your videos but I don't want them at the cost of your well-being!

2018-12-24 21:55:49 +0000 UTCDistant would-be friend, I watch your videos when I'm running out of steam on my own creative work. The love you have for media reminds me why I make this damn stuff to begin with, even when it feels like I'm just dumping paint into an empty room. I just desperately want to make something that someone will love as much as you love HXH. But it's hard. You know... we're not factories, creatives. And by creatives, I mean humans. We can't do the same things over and over and expect the same things to happen forever. At some point, we have to explore new ground. So like... do whatever you need to do. I know my dollars are a drop in the bucket, but I'll stick around whatever you're doing. I watch your videos a hell of a lot more than I do netflix or hulu and screw youtube-red. I'm happy to keep pitching in as a thank you for having something to steady myself with when I've forgotten what makes a hero seem real.

2018-12-24 08:24:40 +0000 UTCI couldn't agree more with Michael Magee's comment. I shared some thoughts over on youtube basically stating how watching your videos and listening to the Let's Fight a Boss podcast has brought so much joy to me these past few years. It's the personal touches you weave in that jump out as much as giving a breakdown on the media your currently describing. It's like hearing a friend speak. I believe the humanity you inject is why your channel stands out against the vast majority. I'm sure i'm not alone with having those sentiments. As such none of us would want you to burn yourself out from your labors or our perceived expectations. They're a thrill every time no matter what because it means we get to know what a friend is up to again. Thanks for all you've shared, and even being open about your fatigue. Please take care of yourself. Your true friends here will eagerly support you whether you do a video every day, month, year, or stop entirely. Have a fantastic New Year.
2018-12-24 04:24:48 +0000 UTCI hope you get the rest you need man. Your videos are always a treat, and I'm glad to be supporting you make them and hope to support you more in the future. I originally found your Bebop video and was hooked on your work since. You have a wonderful way to explain your thoughts and express yourself. You're passionate without screaming with joy, you pronounce your disappointment without malice or rage. Your presentation is simple yet engaging and it makes for something really enjoyable, not just entertaining. Rest up man and may you have a great new year!
2018-12-23 21:21:30 +0000 UTCIf you ever wonder why people love your videos - for me at least - it's how infectious your enthusiasm for the media you love comes through. I come out of your videos feeling better. If I already watched it, I love hearing you describe it in ways I could never come up with about just why it's so wonderful. If I haven't you've given me a great gift of a reliable recommendation. Please take a rest over Christmas and beyond - nothing is worth your health. Without that, you cannot improve and enrich the lives of others, which I can assure you that you do. Godspeed into the New Year!
