A quick Thank You from a rented bus in Peru
Added 2014-10-20 02:49:45 +0000 UTCI just got home and wanted to quickly send you something to show you know that I'm appreciative of your support. Thank You. We're building and setting up an orphanage in Peru to get boys off the street using the Project for Awesome funds from last year. It's important to me that I can honestly say on the P4A video "we don't use the funds you donate for our flights to Peru, we pay for that on our own". Since you've given me your support via Patreon, I view those funds as fair game to use for flights for something like this. My friends have been visiting an existing orphanage for years, and we hang out with the boys from there any chance we get. This is the last day we were there. I took along a Patreon shirt so you'd know I meant it when I said "Thank You". Please forgive me for not being 100% smooth with my words here. I try not to speak exclusively English around the boys often, and I'm not a huge fan of whipping out the camera. Here's we're on a bus on the way to the movie theater. The boys basically go to school and do chores at their orphanage, so any time they get to do something like this is't a big deal. Obviously I have plans for an entire video explaining the Peru project with Not Forgotten for this year's Project for Awesome.... but for now I just wanted to send you something ASAP so you know that expressing my gratitude is a top priority. I realize I'm not giving you any context for this video....... but it will come in due time.
