Hello Patrons,
It's taken a while to get here but we're finally done with the first of our four episodes on the Story of Dwarf Fortress. This episode will be going live next week, and when it does we'll have episode two ready for you folks. So you'll be a week or so ahead of everyone else for the duration of the episode drops.
In this first episode we cover the pre-history of Dwarf Fortress, introduce you to the game's two developers and explore the obscure RPG branch that inspired the game's simulation-style gameplay.

There's some muddling of history at the beginning, the battle of Stamford Bridge in Yorkshire is where the viking died, the other battle of 1066 is Hastings in East Sussex where Battle Abbey was built. Both battles were fought by Harold Godwinson, last Anglo-Saxon king of England

2025-03-04 18:18:12 +0000 UTCExcellent as always, I canโt express enough how each subsequent production NoClip does just continues to improve and far surpasses any production value one might see on HBO, Netflix, etc. This project in particular must have been a truly Herculean effort. Excited to see the next episodes as they roll out. One thing I noticed, and tested on multiple devices, Iโm hearing a slight hiss above the audio, especially during the dialogue in the interview sections. It almost sounds like rain in the background. Just wanted to give a heads up! Thanks again for all you guys do!
