Exciting Updates to Tiers & Community

Hey Patrons,

I don't do written posts all that often, but we have a lot to tell you about in this one so I wanted to make it as digestible as possible. 

This is a special moment for me as it's the official unveiling of a bunch of answers to problems I've been trying to solve for years. Namely how to find a good balance between accomplishing Noclip's mission, building a community here, adding value to the Patreon, and not burning myself or the crew out in the process. 

You've already seen the first few steps in this process. 

Our docs have gotten higher production value, and we're hitting the road this month to film in person for the first time in two years. The Noclip Crew channel is giving us a terrific new creative space and allowing the main channel to be what it's meant to be. Our tentpole show for that channel Developer Breakdown begins later this month. And our podcast is growing in audience every week and providing us a natural place to catch people up on our work. 

Today we unveil the next layer of this, which is adding much-requested bonuses to the Patreon, adding community events and streams to our output and creating a simple calendar so you know what we're working on each month. 

Let's dive in;

Adding New Content to Patreon Tiers

Please visit here to view our brand new tiers but let me summarize the top level updates;

• The $10 Tier is getting access to an expanding library of extended interview cuts. This month alone they'll be getting a 110 minute Todd Howard interview from our Bethesda Series and an 80 minute interview with Jen Zee about Art Directing Supergiant Games. Each month we will add 2-3 interviews to this library, creating a vault of exclusive interviews for you to enjoy.
• The $10 Tier is also getting access to extended versions of our new show Developer Breakdown. Basically a much longer, less edited version of the show coming to Noclip Crew this month.
• $5 tier now has bonus podcasts each month and these podcasts are going to be special recordings like movie reviews, on-location recordings and more. 
• The $20 tier production meetings are not only going to pave the direction of Greatest Hits, but also suggest games for Developer Breakdown, the extended interviews and more.
• We're finally adding a tier above $30 for all of you who donate more already. Our new $69.99 "Battle Pass" Tier features an array of superflous cosmetics including podcast shout-outs and VIP tags for our discord and Twitch. (If you are already paying that amount you will need to "switch" to that tier. DM us if you are paying annually and run into issues.)
• New Discord icons for several tiers.
• We invite all Patrons to join us on a new monthly community hangout stream/party we're starting this month. It'll be organized through discord and spammed over twitter so keep your eyes peeled there.

Schedule & Communication 

• Patreon Content will now be scheduled for the same week in each month. So podcasts on the second week of the month, patron shows on the first etc. This consistent calendar should help make our updates easier to anticipate.
• The Discord now has a #📅noclip-calendar channel which contains an updated list of everything we're publishing in the coming month. 
• We're going to use the discord to organize and update streams and community events so as not to spam the Patreon Feed.

Community Nights & Public Streams

• Each month will have a patron-only Community Night for ALL patrons.
• Weekly Twitch Streams - Thursday @ 2pm Pacific
• Podcast will be streamed from June (no changes to MP3 or YouTube versions)

Growing Noclip Crew

• Developer Breakdown: launches on the 24th. Highly produced 15 minute developer interviews diving into the design of new and old games. First episode features Tunic with loads more in production. There are three episodes currently in production and patrons will get extended cuts of all of these.
• Counterpoint: My old opinion show returned. The first episode is about Facing Worlds being both the best and worst map ever created.
• More Behind the Scenes Videos and Jayne Dev coming.
• Frank & Jesse are working on original shows coming later in the summer.
• We're doing some stuff around the summer game announcements.

Big Docs Coming to Noclip

• And just in case you think our eyes are off the ball we are currently working on three big projects from large and small studios. We're filming in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles in May and will even have some content around new games during the summer.
