Hey Patrons,
For the first time ever the ESRB allowed cameras into their office to talk about the process of rating games. This is a real first which wouldn't have been possible with you supporting our work so I just want to say thank you so much for allowing us to do this work. We hope this doc will enlighten the conversation around video game rating and give you all insight as to what exactly goes on there.
Let us know what you think!

So I only got around to watching this today - a good doc, but I feel one hot button topic was either not addressed or edited out. Did you ask about NBA 2K20 not featuring simulated gambling according to ESRB and why? So far their public explanations have been laughable at best.

2019-11-12 13:15:36 +0000 UTCFantastic! Surprisingly entertaining. Danny "The Docsman" O'Dwyer and Jeremy "Jameraman" Jayne do it again.

2019-11-12 04:13:25 +0000 UTCThis is absolutely excellent! I love the docs on the games, but I agree with you in that I see the importance with a topic like this. This doc is very educational and is probably top 3 docs NoClip has done to date. Great work all around and Thanks a ton for going in on this topic!

2019-11-11 22:05:47 +0000 UTCEven though I live in the UK I still found that an interesting piece that did a good job at shinning a light into a corner of the industry rarely exposed. I will say however as a video it did at times feels like a promotional piece that could have been commissioned by the ESRB to shine an unflinchingly positive light on the work they do especially considering the anniversary and the criticisms that have been levied against them. At times you start to edge into more uncomfortable territory for them and understandably you need to do a lot of scene setting, I just feel a little more editorial bite could have gone a long way. I do however acknowledge that Itβs a very difficult line to straddle and I can understand the degree of reverence offered to them considering how rarely (never) that access is given to the media. I still enjoyed the video though, keep up the great work!
