Our species really is an indiscriminate, metastatic cancer. It's sickening.
Thank you for all that you continue to do. ๐

I know it wasn't. Just defending good-hearted people such as yourself, who are doing it for the plants themselves, and for the benefit of the educating of us executive monkey devils. I hear tell about people up here who poach Cypripediums under the guise of "rescue." I wish I knew their names, I WOULD name and shame them.

This wasn't directed at you, lol. Don't worry. It was directed at myself and the gratuitous nature of self-labeled "rescuers", especially a poacher down here in South Texas by the name of Benny.

Joey, I don't say or do plant rescue to feel good about myself. That will never happen, anyway. Perhaps re-location is a better descriptor? I go on plant re-locations because it's a way to get plants/seeds to people who are interested in native plants. I do keep some plants for myself. But I pass on their seeds and offsets. Yes, I'm part of the human race fucking up the planet. I can't help it that people are plowing up thornscrub or prairie. But I feel pretty good about all the Lobelia cardinalis I've seeded in marshy areas around here, from descendants of plants I re-located a long time ago. It ain't shit, but it's something.
