Wow, what a quality interview Joey! Growing a Bursera microphylla "waterman variant" that is doing very well. My other Bursera microphylla doesn't show as much promise. In Tucson I recommend Desert Survivors and Spadefoot nursery for native plants. I do an annual road trip out (during the desert blooms) there. Most So. Cal nurseries carry coastal native plants whereas AZ has desert adapted plants(that may not be Ca Natives, but many are...) Also try to catch a Brad Lancaster tour because his ideas are such a game changer the southwest gardening.
