The legume family is fucking incredible and contains upwards of 20,000 species. It is as ubiquitous as the sunflower family and probably just as ecologically successful. I rarely post episodes of podcasts up but I was so excited about this one I figured it was worth it to send out a notification. For some reason I was also unaware that it is mostly only the Faboideae Subfamily of this family that associates with nitrogen-fixing root Bacteria. Caesalpinioids and Mimosoids don't.
