The Stygian City - The Night Hag's Palace (Work-in-Progress)
Added 2024-07-23 14:02:07 +0000 UTCThis is the 12th level of the pit, which has its own upper level just above the pen in the photo. There's a lot going on here and I promise I'll explain it, room by room, in the DM notes.
The short version of the story is that an ancient hag is living here with her derro minions and an assortment of demons, flesh golems and various other creatures and she's trying to wake up Ghanya, the entity living at the bottom of the pit (info on that here).
Anyway, I'm gonna get back to work and get these colored. If you've got any thoughts or questions about any of this, let me know!

But over the last few months they investigated where the Breland (Eberron setting) rebels were hiding, and concluded the Black Pit which jibes with the Stygian City. Now having foiled a plot to destroy Sharn (City of Towers) they've moved to the countryside and the next step is to assault the Black Pit. I'm not sure of the details yet, but I'm thinking the rebels will have made a treaty with the previous inhabitants of the village and upper levels in your notes, but ignored the evil underground. So my party may or may not encounter that (now) depending on what they do. Interestingly, and coincidentally, they had a brief run-in with a Night Hag's Nightmare Haunting but drove it off with Silver Flame holy symbols. So your latest iteration (the Night Hag's Palace) has just GOT to appear :)

2024-07-23 15:13:58 +0000 UTCOur Tuesday night one-shot meetup at the local games café has developed the saying "Thunderwave is not an indoor spell". Strangely enough, Thunderwave is _often_ an indoor spell. (Although it's not necessarily still indoors once it's been cast.)
