"XZ" image - NEW!  This image no longer needs to be unzipped! You can down-load this, and then use Balena Etcher to write it directly to an SD card.

Alternative: This is the 'classic' image which we will discuss deprecating next release if the XZ doesn't cause problems.  If XZ does, then please download, unzip, and burn this one.

Release Notes
As part of our maturing dev cycle, we now have clear lists we can share of changes in the build. Below is the list for the May release.  I'm excited about this because I think it shows the amount of dev work that is put out this month, and hopefully each month, in a much more transparent manner.

Updates for this release:
- Remove Sync frame button added
- Loading indicator when SSIDs are loading
- Fixed crash in configpage if device has no Wi-Fi
- Stability fixes around Crossfade Transitions
- Performance and memory improvements in fade transition. Longer period of improved performance on long running frames and Pi3 and lower setups
- Overlay Performance improvements - Transitions no longer 'chunk' when an image overlay is enabled
- Overlays now use Modal dialogs, improved UI flow
- Fix - Show/Hide Exif tag works again
- Fix - Audio on videos should be off when disabled
- Fix - Overlays will not hang when an image is added
- Added - Overlay items now each have a fade on/off capability
- Overlay text will automatically wrap
- #30 - Overlays - Add User Defined name to each control
- #31- Overlays - Fix web UI Text Box Alignment
- #32- Overlays - Text wrapper (prefix/append) options
- #37 - Config launch page - Add focus indicators for keyboard accessability
- Added Various Overlay samples for art frames
- Major documentation update

There was more work done in April around automating some processes that were taking a lot of time.  We also now work on features that may take several months, but we can hold them back until they're ready.  I expect May will be a very exciting month as we get back into feature work!
