Video showing March Release

The major change for March was the 'first run' page and being able to setup the frame wirelessly.  We also brought back Frame Sync, and Overlays (which will be patched shortly...we had some regressions at the end there).

This video goes over everything so those that prefer videos can see a walk through of the UI and the flow.

The next two weeks I'll be focusing on bugfixes and patches and then we'll switch back to features. You'll be able to update via the 'store' page.

We are SO excited to get this out there and this should help a ton with simplifying things for scenarios where you're giving a frame to a loved one, or want to run off of wifi, or just a much easier way to configure wifi (and you can now do it with a keyboard or over wifi!).  You can also manage the frame now without adding it to wifi using the wifi - direct method (connect a phone or tablet to the Dynaframepro access point and manage away!).

Hope everyone has a blast with this release. Please let us know feedback or any issues we hit so we can jump on any bugs found as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Joe

Are you running the build that just came out? Or a previous build? For the previous build we have a quick start guide (it’s being updated for this build). Can you tell me what IP it’s showing? When you say the wifi name wasn’t shown was this on the first run dialog or via the web ui? We just took a major update so you maybe seeing some challenges with the changes. I assure you this version has about a year of features and big fixes on the old version, so while setup may be rocky (and we will fox that) the rest will be worth it

Kinda disappointed about the Pro-Version of this software. Was using the free version today for the first time - it was buggy and I had to reboot a lot but i got it running. Now after upgrading to the pro version the "easier" install was not easy at all. I am running on a RPi 3b. There was no manual online (at least I still can't find one) and the software is not intuitive at all. Was suprised there was suddenly a popup for the install after a couple minutes later after the reboot. My Wifi name was not fully shown and I could not even get the Pi to connect to my Wifi. Had to get into the terminal to input it there. After that the info was shown that no files where inside the pictures folder - so far so good thats not a surprise. But then I could not even connect to the web app because the IP adress is not suited at all for my network configuration. Can't even get this up and running atm.
