Welcome June Patreons! June release info

I'd like to thank all of our June supporters!  For those that are new, please start at the June release info post and then this one will make more sense :)  The main thing in this post is that we're testing the ability to easily update in place without having to reimage the device.

First things first:
Latest release (Onedrive...may need a microsoft account): https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqxjM4_uBDJgxdcQn8H0Z9Cfkf07rQ?e=ln2rn6

Alternate Release (Website, may need a download manager): http://geek-toolkit.com/Releases/DynaframeProMayRelease1.zip

Instructions/quickstart: https://1drv.ms/w/s!AqxjM4_uBDJgxdYxoCkOHzDwGuD2xA?e=LCl5RJ

Discord channel: https://discord.gg/FVAn6DyjG8

(Note:Discord is a great place to share ideas/tips, get support, share photos of your frames and more! It's like a chat room, but just for you!)

The "May Release is Ready" post lists the latest features, and the followup posts talks about known issues which we are working to resolve.

Each month I do a welcome for the month, and a project update.  We are closing in on our bugfix release, and watching closely for feedback on the release.   We've discovered some bugs around setting the transition and slide times, and those will be fixed in the next update (Currently you have to restart to get them to take effect).  My focus is 100% on getting the quality bar back to where it was before the engine rewrite so that when we bring on the plugins and other features, we keep a solid reliable product.

We're still watching keenly for feedback...if you're hitting bugs please continue to report them via messages to myself or the discord.   Our cadence will be 'bugfix' release and then in late June/early July you'll start seeing the next wave of features coming...and they're going to be wild. :)

Comments

I'd be very interested in more specific details of what a "plug in" is. Also, what is the priority list for development. This project seems to fit all my needs except for 1.) "walk by" wake up (which it seems you are working on) and 2.) on device gesture based UI (i.e., make a gesture to show and select folders; this would seem to require onboard realtime gesture detection not just relying on a 3rd party limited set gizmo.)
