Man, this episode was just something else. It really hit me more than I thought an anime ever could. Before this the only show that ever came close to making me tear up was Violet Evergarden haha Fantastic episode in every aspect you mentioned using the awakening term. I obviously loved the whole Noelle situation but the little bit of back story on the elves we got was just so good. I can't wait to find out more.

They ramp up the emotional stakes big time with the leg removal and voice box of Kiato and Kahono. The growth of Noelle is so great, it's why so many like her character, her just saying I'm just a member of the black bulls is huge. The title has a triple entendre meaning I believe. We see the awakening of Noelle taking place, her finally coming more fully to her power and overcoming her weakness. Then we see Vetto awakening his third eye, their is actually a mistranslation to the spell he uses in third eye mode. It's not mythical beast magic, but actually Devil/Demon Beast Magic. The third meaning behind this title is that we as viewers are now being awakened to the much larger scope of the story in Black Clover with a larger hint at past events, and a further introduction to the Elves. We got a small hint of that when Licht said he couldn't harm Gauche and the flash back there. Also just a great reaction, I loved your enthusiasm and emotion in this one for sure, seeing Noelle overcome all this struggle is almost better than seeing even Asta overcome.
