To be fair, Square is just the publisher for this one, not the developer. Luminous Productions is the developer, and they're clearly not doing fantastic.

2023-02-01 04:06:23 +0000 UTC$70 bucks for a 10-15 hours main story, and no more than 20-30 hours for a full completionist run (the *dev's* said that), and a game that runs like a potato even in a heavily optimized PC? Ya, I'mma have to pass on that one. Concept looks cool, and the actual combat mechanics are apparently pretty well done, but the overall game is just...half-assed.
