One of my favorite things about the Patreon videos is the "how the sausage gets made" regarding the ads. You are one of two creators on YouTube that I will actively choose to watch the ads because they are engaging and funny, so props for that. Also, pulling the king of hearts twice in a row was such a wild moment, definitely glad you kept it in even though it was the opposite of what you wanted to present to the audience. Looking forward to the next video!

If you feel that's disingenuous, or obfuscates the true odds, that's probably a fair take. I'm sorry you're disappointed

I feel it does a bad job at explaining what the numbers actually mean (That for every 8192 shiny Pokemon that are found, on average, someone will encounter another shiny on the next encounter). There's a significant difference between "What are the odds my next two encounters are shiny?" (1/8192^2) vs "I just found a shiny, what are the odds I find another?" (1/8192).
