Riven Auctions, Test server access
Added 2019-05-17 16:50:20 +0000 UTCThe test build was deployed on our test server.
And everyone can access it.
To do this, you will need to edit the host file, which will allow you to access the test server via the warframe.market domain.
Please note that you will temporarily lose access to the original server for as long as the entry exists in your host file.
It is also unlikely, but you could have some problems with your browser cache after restoring the original state of the host file. So in case of unexpected problems you may need to reset the cache for this domain.
At the end of the file you will need to add this line:
84.22.111.233 switch.warframe.market ps4.warframe.market xbox.warframe.market api.warframe.market warframe.market
To restore access to the original site, you need to delete or comment this line.
How to modify the host file:
Linux
- Open terminal.
- type: `sudo nano /etc/hosts`
For Windows 10 and 8
- Press the Windows key.
- Type Notepad in the search field.
- In the search results, right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
- From Notepad, open the following file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
- Make the necessary changes to the file.
- Click File > Save to save your changes.
For Windows 7 and Vista
- Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
- Right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
- Click Continue on the Windows needs your permission UAC window.
- When Notepad opens, click File > Open.
- In the File name field, type C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts.
- Click Open.
- Make the necessary changes to the file.
- Click File > Save to save your changes.
Important notes
--->> Test server does not contain any data from production, you'll need to register the new account, and your email will become your name. <<---
It's a test build, it's not polished yet.
Many aspects will be improved, and you may face strange bugs.
What is not ready yet:
- Mobile optimization, i recommend to use at least 1200px wide screen. It's not done, because some components is not in their final state. And we may have to change them after the test.
- Texts and terminology could be a bit weird or incorrect.
- Bans is not working yet. Not linked with backend functions, will be available in a few days
- Build was developed on Chrome, and was not tested in other browsers yet.
- some styles aren't finished yet.
- API is not in their final state, but there's not much that's gonna change.
- Server could be unavailable from time to time.
- ...
The main task at the moment, to collect as many feedback as possible, as well as to find all the most obvious bugs.
