I went and did it.

Its been done. I could not resist it. And I am really happy I didn't.
Yesterday my new Wacom Cintiq pro 24 arrived in the mail. This thing is proper awesome. I had been using the 13 inch HD version for about 5 years now and finally decided to move up to 4K.

I have loved the 13 inch one and its been one solid piece of equipment. But one thing I always had to do was to mirror my Wacom screen to my standard 4K monitor to double check that things I painted looked alright. With this new 24 inch bad boy I can keep it as a separate monitor and trust that what I see on the screen is crisp and clear.

I have used Wacom's products since I started doing any form of digital art in my teenage years. I started out with a Wacom Bamboo back in 2007 which I used through out all of my studies and into my professional life. I then got an Intous pro around 2013 which I still sometimes use. I then moved up to the 13 inch Cintiq a few years after.

I think for anything that isn't drawing one doesn't need a Cintiq. Then the non screen tablets are perfect. They are still very good for drawing, so don't get me wrong, but the screen tablets just gives you that more direct pen to paper experience.

Now the only problem is that it fills up my desk space significantly more so I have to figure out how to reach my keyboard in a good way and sit ergonomically to not get all crooked.

Exciting times.

I went and did it. I went and did it.

Yeah seam to be one of the best options. πŸ‘

I use a mechanical arm w mine (still using a 2010 21ux !!) needs a sturdy desk to clamp onto but it saves your neck and shoulder

Nice! How do you position your tablet? Like I have it here?

Really nice setup I have a very similar setup compared to yours but haven't jumped to 4k and not the Wacom Cintiq.

That's a clever way of doing it. Can you still rest you arm on it? I feel like if I raised my wacom up I would get some shoulder problems haha :). I agree that they are pricey, but I have to say, you do get really good quality products.

I used a riser (stand) to place my tablet on, so then my keyboard sits underneath. This also means raising the main monitor up a notch. It worked well for me. (Another option I think is to get an arm for Wacom.) Anyway, Wacoms are fantastic. I just wish they weren't so overpriced. :/ I'm using a Huion Kamvas Pro 16" instead. But I'd love a bigger one with more space and resolution.
