2025-09-06 17:55:21 +0000 UTCYes, glad you enjoyed BSB and the Rascal Flatts! It's interesting, there were mixed reviews of this performance, and I didn't understand it because I thought it was great, and I'm glad you did too! The song that Rascal Flatts sang by themselves is actually a brand new song they did with the Jonas Brothers for their album, so that's definitely why it crossed over to the pop genre, but yes, over the years, they have also crossed into the country-pop genre. For BSB, the AJ laugh that he does at the beginning of "Larger than Life" is iconic to the song, and he does it all the time, but he always gets into the performances, no matter what it is. Fans were extra happy for Brian with this performance because he's dealt with Vocal Tension Dysphonia (MTD) since 2012 and hasn't been his Brian Brian voice for quite a while, but he keeps working on it and getting better. Also, when it comes to the leads of BSB. You're right, there isn't really an official lead singer per se of the group, but Brian and Nick were always considered the leads or at least had the majority of the lead vocals in the songs, and then AJ started to also. It actually made Howie almost leave the group (he originally was the lead at the beginning of the group) before they started working on their "In a World Like This" album, but then he had gotten more of the lead vocals. I highly recommend watching their "Show 'Em What You're Made Of" documentary!! They discuss Brian's vocal issues, their former manager, and some other very personal things. LOL to your Nsync vs Backstreet Boys. It was a big deal back then. I was Team Nsync because, well, that was what I was told by my older sister and her friends to be, but I eventually did and do love both! Still waiting for that combo tour. 🤞 And good job with the names, even though Gary helped you out with Brian's name. 😂 While I was writing this comment, I thought about the comparisons between Nsync and Backstreet Boys, and I believe this is the best way to think of each member: Chris = Kevin: the oldest members of the group Joey = AJ: the two energetic/funny guys Lance = Howie: the two laid back guys, but can be funny too JC = Brian: the best vocals of the group Justin = Nick: the youngest and most well-known members

2025-09-06 14:40:27 +0000 UTCThis scene is my favorite performance of cynthia. I wish they filmed the whole broadway performance so I can rewatch it when she was in it. Michael if you want to see this same scene of her singing it on broadway here's a fancam . It's so good plus I love her walk at the end of it. She did amazing. https://youtu.be/VKtFfqinmWo?si=XgCnok8k5GCDftuL

2025-09-06 11:17:38 +0000 UTCHi Friend! I had to send you "Roxanne" eventually, and I'm glad you like the version I chose. It is so interesting to see a version where the crowd doesn't know every cue and isn't chanting along. And of course, Stewart has the babiest baby face here! You are correct that Stewart did not have octobans yet due to money. Stewart tells the story that the first thing did once they got a big paycheck was head to a music store in NYC and buy loads of new equipment. I do think that Stewart lost his drumstick in the last few moments, but he keeps a little caddy of sticks near him. You can sometimes see them when the camera is behind him (in other videos.) He's doing such incredible work here, tossing the rhythm back and forth with Sting at the start of the breakdown and that huge finish out of nowhere. If you Google "Sting and Sting" you should see several real pictures of Sting and Sting together, which are quite charming. Since I messaged you, the BBC has put out a much more in-depth article about what is going with the Police lawsuit. Apparently, it's more to do with performance royalties and mechanical royalties. Here's the heart of the matter: Performance royalties - which are paid when a song is played in public, on the radio, or via a streaming service. Mechanical royalties - paid when a song is pressed to CD or vinyl, but also when it is streamed on demand. Summers and Copeland argue that they should be paid for both of these categories, while Sting says their agreement only covers mechanical royalties. Um, of course Stewart and Andy should be paid when their songs are played on the radio. I'm not a lawyer, but this seems obvious to me. Here's the link: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgjyjn9j74go

2025-09-06 07:51:44 +0000 UTCThank you to S for the MCR request! I’ve loved them since 2004 and have considered requesting songs by them. I would highly recommend an album review of Welcome to the Black Parade. It ranks up in the top 10 best albums of all time for me. I do consider it important to know that it is a thematic album that follows the journey of The Patient, a terminally ill man, as he journeys through sickness, death, and the afterlife. The song Welcome to the Black Parade takes place as he is on his deathbed and remembering his life. As Bev said, it is very anthemic, and centers around the triumph of the human spirit. I really love it for its celebratory “you can never take us down” vibes even as it fits into the broader theme of an album that covers what many consider to be a serious topic. NOTE: I strongly believe that music can be interpreted in many different ways and that the meaning of a song mostly lies with the listener. However, in the case of this thematic album, the artist has confirmed their inspiration and the storyline of the album through interviews and promotional materials.

2025-09-06 07:31:04 +0000 UTCRen has a big following especially for a independent artist and he loves reactors and often shares reels of them reacting to his music on his social media so fully going down the Ren rabbit hole would be super fun! His music is brilliant and he touches on a lot of important subjects but also has fun silly songs as well so not all serious! He also has a band he busk with "street performing" that's a rabbit hole in itself! Really hope to see more!
