I really liked Le Sserafim's latest album. Their performances are so good and engaging too, I especially loved Come Over. Did you ever figure out what 90s R&B song Mona Lisa was reminding you of? I felt like it was on the tip of my bRAin lol

2025-04-20 23:30:27 +0000 UTCSomehow I completely missed this being posted so I'm watching now 😭😂 Agree on Just Being Friendly having the right formula to simply be a hit. Especially the lyrics, since it's something a lot of people can relate to I think. When you fall for a friend but you're uncertain whether they like you back; or when you've already been friend-zoned but the other person keeps pushing the boundaries here and there, leaving you questioning if it was a sign of something deeper going on or really just a friendly interaction that you overthought. Like you said, some people really can't help themselves, and whether it's intentional or subconscious, it can really badly mess with one's mind. Also glad you enjoyed MILLI! I don't know much about her but based on what I've heard from her so far she's really talented and def popular for a reason.

2025-04-16 14:54:32 +0000 UTCwould love to watch your reaction to both the CRAZY and HOT albums!

2025-04-06 20:08:10 +0000 UTCI totally agree about Les Miserables. And while some of the vocal performances in the movie aren't the best (*cough* Russell Crowe, *cough*) I don't think they're nearly as bad as some people make them out to be.

2025-04-06 05:44:27 +0000 UTCI'm not sure how susceptible you are to peer pressure, but this is my attempt to convince you to *please* listen to Sara Bareilles' discography. She's such a gifted singer/songwriter. Her live albums are great too. She does a cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road that actually gives me goosebumps. One of my favorite songs by her is called Cassiopeia. It's about two stars falling in love and it just always makes me happy. I also can't wait for you to watch Les Miserables! Anne Hathaway's performance is gut wrenching and it won her the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress that year.

2025-04-06 05:40:42 +0000 UTCBeen watching for over a year, only joined Patreon a few months ago, and this is (I think?) my first time commenting but worth breaking the awkward silence a few days late on this video just to say PLEASE go enjoy everything Sara Bareilles. I'd happily watch every minute if you decided to record it, but even if it was just something you explored on your own time, I so highly recommend it. She's one of the most talented artists of our time imo, between her clever songwriting and her incredible performance abilities, and she just gets better and better as she hones her skills. She's also one of those artists that performs songs in new and interesting ways every single time, whether it's doing her own songs live and letting herself riff or play with melodies, or taking covers and doing them her own way, and it's such a joy and a surprise every time (and her live albums are so fun because you can tell how much she LOVES performing and her audience and there's usually little bits of banter and storytelling in between songs). I totally understand the thought of knowing you'll enjoy something and being a little hesitant to jump into it because of how much of an emotional and timely commitment you know it'd be but I fully advocate for it, even if it's just a song here and there or an album over a few months.

2025-04-05 21:14:03 +0000 UTCI see a lot of people recommending the Les Miserables anniversary concerts as a starting point and I have to say, I don't think that's the best idea. I do get the singers are better, but the concerts skip big chunks of the plot and most of the show is not acted out. It's good for the music, but it isn't good for learning the story at all and it will be hard to follow as a first timer with no knowledge. There's a lot to love about the movie in my opinion. It's focus is more on the emotion and the acting than on vocal ability, but even with that there are some truly stunning performances. I think you'll enjoy it a lot and if you want to dig in more from there, watch the 10th and/or 25th after to see the songs taken to Broadway levels. Also was so happy to see you react to LSF's Hot. I'm really loving their new EP. The song Ash is next level and may end up being one of my favorites of the year.

2025-04-05 05:53:27 +0000 UTCI got into the Beatles through my father's vinyl collection - so yes, you are right to predict that if you were delve into them, especially on vinyl, that'd be all you'd listen to for a while... I grew up with a 70s-style rec room in the basement complete with record-player and pool table - and I used to just put on the Beatles and shoot pool with myself for hours on end. Looking back on it with an adult mind, I can see it as the complete meditative calming exercise that it was after I got home from school - like a reset on the day. If you do look into doing some of BTS' long-form content, I really hope you do more of the older documentary series that they have. But I know that it's A LOT of content and can be intimidating. I'm thankful for the requestors who combine to show you fun things.

2025-04-04 05:26:20 +0000 UTCHi Starbuck! There is a tier for custom requests, which I believe is currently closed. Keep your eyes peeled for openings. Mike has a lot of Taylor content, which you are probably working your way through. I'm hoping he reacts to the reputation songwriting memos, maybe when we finally get a rep TV release date.

2025-04-03 23:52:09 +0000 UTCI loooove that you’re reacting to Les Mis, my favorite musical of all time and the 10th anniversary is my FAVORITE version (and in my opinion, the most talented!!) Lea Salonga (she plays Eponine in the 10th, the heartbroken love triangle one) is one of the most incredible and emotional vocalists. She’s also in the 25th anniversary version playing a different character AND she is the singing voice of Jasmine AND Mulan. The Hugh Jackman movie is fine. It’s not great though. These songs were written and made to be epic and belted, and the movie takes a much more intimate and quiet approach, which works on some of the songs because you experience the emotions in a different way, but a lot of the songs end up just feel underwhelming compared to the stage versions. I would recommend watching either the 10th or 25th anniversary first and then the movie. The Liam Neeson version is not the musical. That one is only based on the book.

2025-04-03 21:31:37 +0000 UTCSecond this! Across The Universe is one of my all-time favorite music-inspired movies. It's so beautifully done!!!!

2025-04-03 07:56:52 +0000 UTCExcellent! Hi Bev, a new patreon here, but I’ve been watching you for a while. I don’t know how your requests work, but I have maybe something you might enjoy. It’s a Taylor thing, it’s the Apple interview with Zane Lowe in 2020, she had just released Evermore and won the Apple songwriter of the year award. It’s about an hour interview where she discusses the songs on Evermore and the process and I just love hearing her discuss her songwriting and what each song means. If you have not watched it, I thought you might like it. I enjoy it.

2025-04-03 05:55:57 +0000 UTCFirstly, thank you sm for the reaction 💕 When you do decide to do Les Misérables (hopefully soon) I'd suggest having a poll to see which version people would prefer you watch! I really dislike the movie, as do a lot of fans of the show, but I understand that maybe for a first watch it's easier. Tho personally I'd much rather you watch the 25th anniversary. The oficial versions are: -10th Anniversary Concert (1995) -25th Anniversary Concert (2010) -2012 movie -2019 Staged Concert I do have all 3 concert in good quality and with subtitles so don't worry about that! :)

2025-04-03 00:05:25 +0000 UTCawww Les Mis!! i’m performing in the 40th anniversary performance in July, the only performance in my country so it’s very exciting 😍

2025-04-02 22:51:25 +0000 UTCI’d love for you to watch the 25 anniversary of le miserable instead haha. It’s similar to this 10th anniversary layout. But the talent is so much better 😂 Hugh jackman one is a movie version and more popular. A couple of actors Sadley weren’t as good and think were casted because of their name. But overall the emotion killed me when I saw it. A lot of the background actors were west end/broadway stars. Wicked did what this tried to do But it’s still amazing and pulls your emotions out of you x

2025-04-02 14:43:19 +0000 UTCThe making vases out of snakes line, the way I think on it is like, she's trying to make something whole from the clay pieces (pieces of herself), but it feels like they keep slithering away as she's working on it

2025-04-02 01:37:55 +0000 UTCYay to you possibly getting to watch BTS’ shows! I’m always hoping for it but know it’s a lot especially with all your other stuff. Just basically I understand if it doesn’t happen but I’ll absolutely be say if you do get to! lol Maybe do polls for what to watch first if you do get to it??

2025-04-02 01:25:13 +0000 UTCLove Poetry by Dead Men! I was so excited to see Sara on your custom request again. If you are looking for another musical to watch/react to then I HIGHLY recommend Waitress the Musical starring Sara Bareilles who wrote the music for the musical. She really is an amazing musician and underrated in mainstream circles.

2025-04-02 01:21:53 +0000 UTCTo add on to the Le Sserafim hype, I think you heard the Easy EP, but not the Crazy EP when it came out. And now they have Hot, which makes it a bit of a trilogy. Would love you to hear Crazy and Hot together if you have the time! I think each one is 5 songs.

2025-04-02 01:15:04 +0000 UTCGosh, I love the Beatles so much. Something is one of my favorites. 🥺😍 That and Paul McCartney’s Maybe I’m Amazed are two of my favorite love songs.

2025-04-02 00:45:01 +0000 UTCMike, you may have NFT turned off on your phone, making the pin not work. It did work with my phone. It's ok! This is not an efficient music delivery system! If you want to get into the Beatles, let me suggest Ron Howard's documentary "Eight Days a Week" or the Beatles film "A Hard Day's Night." Both are about their early career and very accessible. Thanks! I just watched the Darren Criss Song Association, which was amazing. So many Beatles tunes!

2025-04-01 23:08:48 +0000 UTCI'm obsessed with Mona Lisa, it immediately became one of my favorite Hobi songs. So catchy and the lyrics are so witty, "love the way you take the stress and Louis off of me" is living in my mind rent free I always have the best time watching the Run's episodes, thank you so much for combining the requests, armys 💜

2025-04-01 21:14:16 +0000 UTCWoah I didn't expect a LE SSERAFIM reaction, but I'm SO HAPPY it was requested. I've been a casual listener since their debut, but they really got me with this comeback and I became a stan. These girls are so talented and their music is so good. HOT is part of their new EP "HOT", definitely check it out, their whole discography is worth listening to.

2025-04-01 21:13:45 +0000 UTCIf you’re diving into The Beatles , you gotta watch Across The Universe. Orpheus by Sara Bareilles is top tier songwriting. Also adding my vote to the watch Les Mis 2012 asap

2025-04-01 18:50:43 +0000 UTCNICK SWISHER! Put some respect to the Yankees' hype man's name. LOL. And, sir, your team stole Eric Chavez. He was our hitting coach first (for about three weeks). 😂 But yes, great job at getting most of the players! The Padres player was Jake Peavy, not Trevor Hoffman. The second Atlanta player was Brian McCann. It was Bill Hall, not Rickie Weeks. Here is the list of players that were in the video: Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, Jimmy Rollins, Jake Peavy, Justin Verlander, Craig Biggio, David Eckstein, So Taguchi, Bronson Arroyo, CC Sabathia, Nick Swisher, Jeff Francoeur, Brian McCann, Bill Hall, Luis Gonzalez, and Nomar Garciaparra. I might be missing a couple. They actually showed this video in Major and Minor League ballparks throughout the summer of 2007. It was great marketing for High School Musical 2 as the movie premiered on August 17, 2007. I'm sure some players in this video had kids who watched the first High School Musical, so they probably thought it'd be cool to be a part of it. I know Nick Swisher didn't have kids yet, but knowing who he is, he was probably the first one to say, "Sign me up." 😂 But, yay, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I've been waiting for March/April, when baseball started, to request it.

2025-04-01 17:44:06 +0000 UTCSo the Liam Neeson one isn't the musical version it's the Hugh Jackman/Anne Hathaway one. And it's amazing. The story is about the French Revolution.

2025-04-01 17:24:52 +0000 UTCYes to whoever requested Lea Mis! Please please please watch the movie asap Michael I think you would love it! Definitely the Hugh Jackman one. When you do finally watch it keep in mind that they basically did the same as Wicked and recorded all the vocals live on set. It really makes it hit harder for me.

2025-04-01 17:06:23 +0000 UTCwhoever keeps requesting Marianas Trench is my fav btw. Lover Dearest is one of my favourite early MT songs - It's so easy to feel Josh's emotions coming through the lyrics and his voice.

2025-04-01 15:29:15 +0000 UTCre: RINI, I AM a masochist, lol. No fr though, I used to totally suppress my feelings and this is the first breakup I've ever been through that I allowed myself to FEEL everything. I'm on the other side of it now and am very happy. RINI drug me through the MUD, though, lol.

2025-04-01 15:12:57 +0000 UTCThis was perfect timing for, your reaction to Mona Lisa. I am on my way home from Oakland. I just watched Hobi's concert last night and it was amazing and sooo much fun. It feel so unreal right now. Also, this Run Jin episode was so fun and special. ARMY was really wanting Jin to have Hobi on the show when he was discharged and this episode was worth the wait. 2soek (hobi and Jin) are hilarious.

2025-04-01 14:26:03 +0000 UTCI think the Hugh Jackman Les Mis is the one you’d want to watch, but after you do you should absolutely watch this 10th anniversary show. The talent is insane

2025-04-01 14:10:56 +0000 UTCOh Les Mis. That was such an emotional watch because I used to watch that very concert with my parents regularly. One day more gives me chills. Stars is my fav plus all the other solo performances and drink with me are phenomenal & particularly in this concert. Your getting emotional out of nowhere reminded me of when I first saw it in the theatre with no idea of what to expect in a touring production of it, just went with a friend and got super emotional without even knowing why really. Thanks to who requested this. The film is great but this concert is where my heart lies.

2025-04-01 13:56:10 +0000 UTCYou nailed your interpretation of G-Dragon's song Drama with your first guess! The entire album is about Kmedia and Drama is too. He said in an interview that he chose to sing in the four different languages (Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese) to illustrate how much that is said can get misinterpreted. Did you notice that the crank on his back (the way the media winds him up) is destroyed and in pieces on the platform by the end of the video? He's saying "No more!" G-Dragon is a once in a generation artist. There will never, and I mean NEVER, be another Taemin. I'm so glad you chose that one, even if there were no lyrics. That performance is mind-blowing!

2025-04-01 13:50:46 +0000 UTCthe outro of the song refers back to the line “all wrapped in cellophane, the feelings that we had” cause the song is talking about the relationship being in the public eye and the relationship being susceptible to public scrutiny being wrapped in cellophane, which is translucent. She’s basically saying I did all of this to help the relationship all for the public to prey on her downfall. really tragic but also gorgeous? idk man, hope to see you react to a full project from her someday 😭🤞🏻
