I am okay with that specially if the holding company has some other smaller subsidiaries that can become big at some point and drive future growth. I think at the end of the day, they still have different fundamentals and valuations. And not all holding companies owns 100% of their subsidiaries, just a portion of it.

TheCheap Gamer

Hi TRFM, what are your thoughts on owning both holding (parent) and its subsidiary companies?

Earleo Goco

I don't change my strategy based on what the media is doing.

Hello po, quick follow-up. Just saw a Manila Bulletin/Philstar take on Power Producers in the Philippines - that they are gradually distancing themselves from public ownership (AP lately at around 19%, FGEN's free float is sitting at 11.67%. Will you still be bullish on the Power Sector, and sell niyo nalang po ba ang Power stocks niyo later in case there's a tender offer? Quick thoughts po on this. Thank you as always po! Erly

Yes, its one part of my inputs.

TheCheap Gamer

are you using FFO instead of cash flow instead?

POGING G

I am using my modified discounted cash flow model

TheCheap Gamer

What is your method for finding the intrinsic value of a real estate property such as LAND, CLI, SHNG etc? Thanks much!

POGING G

Please explain (could be a Rational Reminder video) the effect of AP's removal in the PSEi due to share buybacks resulting to less than 20% free float, and is it different from HLCM's case? Tried looking into the free float level and it shows 20%. Not sure if there's another level of threshold for stocks not included in the PSEi? Thank you very much.

Erly

do you have access to google drive? my current valuation for JFC is updated there

TheCheap Gamer

Just a follow up sa JFC Youtube 10 mos ago. What is the current fair value or buy price ng JFC dito sa Patreon? Salamat.

I think COL Financial is the biggest one. Also the only broker listed in the Stock Exchange. So I would say, the other brokers are smaller ones.

TheCheap Gamer

Request lang po sir video regarding the best brokers sa ph. Kumbaga safety, lowest fees, convenience etc. thank you kung magugustuhan mo ung idea. More power sayo!

Michael

It depends on your financial standing. For as long as you are putting money that you think you won't need for at least 10 years. And emergency funds should not be used for investing as well.

TheCheap Gamer

How much is a good amount to invest Per month? To maximize compounding long term? What would you recommend? Would weekly be better? Or monthly. Salamat!

Michael

Thank you, sorry binura ko yung isang comment ko regarding fmetf since nasagot mo na sya sa 2nd reply mo. Anyway, thank you po ulit laking tulong po ng insights nyo, more power!

Rupert Lanuza

Yes, you are right, BTW si FMETF does not pay dividends. So for me, its not even a good option.

TheCheap Gamer

If my dalawang funds na tulad ng nabanggit mo, yes pwede mo sabihin na you are going to earn more sa 9.9% with annual management fee of 1% compared sa isang fund na meron lang 7.8% annual return. BUT still, you should always find and focus on low cost funds. Kasi historical returns are not guaranteed na ganun din sila sa future, so better stick with low cost investing.

TheCheap Gamer

Hindi yan 7.8% for 30 years. If Total return(with dividend reinvested), its close or above 10% din.

TheCheap Gamer

Kung ang average return po ng PSEi in 30 years ay 7.82%, at ang S&P500 ay 9.9%, pwede na ba nating masabi na ok lang kung may global mutual fund ka na may 1% annual fee? Ano po sa tingin nyo? Thank you and more power!
