The CED, Part 2

Hello hello hello and good morning to you,

Please enjoy Part 2 of the CED saga!

https://youtu.be/mSFwyM2L5h4

I normally have a thumbnail and the description done before I post this, but I wanted to rush the posting here on Patreon because I intend to make this public tomorrow. I usually like to have more time between release here and release to the planet-at-large, but I had a number of setbacks this week (all fine, a complicated web of things I decided to do which required more immediate attention at times) so already I'm behind.

Captions, cards, the end screen, and the description, even, will be coming throughout the day.

Toodles!

Comments

Please make a video about the GE Miser Maxi-Light!!

Matheus Bitencourt

Is percussive maintenance listed in the service manual as a solution to skipping discs?

JF Caron

Totally bonkers.

Steven Ray

Me too, but I'm waiting for the director's cut before I buy the trilogy on CED.

Can’t wait for the third part!

Marcin Wichary

Why didn't you caption the outro music as "delayed smooth jazz?"

Mark Hesse

I really love videos like this, where you explore something that, on first look, appears to be a colossal failure, but was actually a great idea at the wrong time, slightly off-base, or something else.

Kevin Kostka

I try to have a little fun with them when I can

Technology Connections

Wait, are all the closed captions this wonderful? A+

Krystal Kamieniecki

Huh, at 6:47 you get a little of that "shake 3d" effect going. Or what ever the actual term is. Dual frame 3d? Bi-glyph 3d?

Be a good little defeat device. :-P

Arthur Robillard

I paid $800 for my RCA two speed VCR in 1980. According to "in2017dollars.com", the equivalent value in 2019 dollars is $2,490.85, not $5000 as you suggested in this video. Still, that's a lot of money.

Allen Boogaard

The pure joy I get from these CED videos. It's. Pure. It's like the feeling in the early 90's when I got a disk from a friend for my Commodore 64 that made it talk!
