The 2nd RCA VideoDisc Intro

I love this clip. So much. It exudes... such confidence.

This intro bumper replaced the original one roughly a year after the CED system was released, so most RCA-produced discs (well, they were all RCA-produced, but those which were *officially* RCA-produced what with their brand on there and all) from 1982 onward start with this delightful, and honestly surprisingly modern-looking intro.

I've uploaded this as a copyright test as it's a little long. Honestly, now I know that I should have been worried about the first one, as that's actually a real recording of Pictures at an Exhibition by Isao Tomita. Whoopsie. Luckily no flagging yet!

Honestly, I doubt this will flag anything because I'm pretty sure this fanfare was made by RCA, and there's a fat chance that's in YouTube's system. It might not even have been copyrighted for all I know. Of course, I want to start the next video with this, but this time have the end of it glitch out in true CED fashion.

Wow, that's impressive!

haha I liked the first one better. I love that early synth-like pictures at an exhibition. This 2nd one reminds me more of a generic "now on home video" sequence

I found this in my local area if anyone is interested.

I always liked the first one better. It seemed more late-seventies "art and science" to me than the second one. In a casual CraigsList search to see what bonkers prices people were trying to get for Betamax machines, I came upon a Sanyo CED machine and 50 discs for a great price. Naturally, I rushed out to buy it that night. Hauling 50 CED's up to a fourth floor walkup apartment was not a one-trip exercise. All worth it, however, when my spouse came home to Star Trek: The Motion Picture playing fuzzily away on the TV and, upon closer inspection, yelled out "OMG, is that a f*#king CED player?!" hahaha. 10/10 would haul again.

That's a pretty impressive 3D effect for the 80's.

In other news your TC2 channel has 66.6k subscribers! So that's.... something

Well, it's on TC2 so it's not too worrisome. Worst thing that can happen would be a copyright claim, which doesn't affect channel status. You need to have a strike, and that only happens if you refute a claim. Which, should I get one... I'll just say "whoopsies" and re-upload or something. I appreciate your concern, though!

You might want to set up a "burner channel" to test copyrighted stuff on, you don't want anything to take down your main account.

Big Car

Even better than the CBS home video intro
