The most common interruption at HQ

Here's something silly for you.

There are a lot of turkeys. A LOT. And they hang around HQ. And they make noises. I honestly don't know if they could be heard in the basement, but nearly every day now, one of them starts gobbling and wandering around. And you can definitely hear them upstairs.

They're goofy birds

At least they aren't peacocks!

My son and I spent the four hours of nationally broadcasted debauchery (not that there's anything wrong with that) leading up to the Kentucky Derby discovering your videos for the first time!! I could easily call your series "Everything you ever wanted to know about media technology* ... *(but couldn't find anyone to answer!)". I'll keep my eyes open in the thrift stores for you. ~ You Rule!

I don't know why, but whenever I hear a turkey make that sound it's endlessly hilarious to me. They truly are the stand-up comedians of the bird-world.

Oooh! Cool shout out and link from Filmaker IQ for your channel! 6 minutes & 58 seconds into "The Joys of Interlacing"!

We have them all over the place in Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. What's really disturbing is seeing a bird that large roosting in a tree. Don't park under it, either.

Mike Bird

It's a monster..... A wood gobbler!! I'd watch out!!!!

CJ Carpenter

Hahahahaha I get it!

So... What you're saying is that you don't have to pay for Thanksgiving dinner this year? ;-)

Laurence MacNeill

"For the truth, the Turkey is in comparison a much more respectable bird, and withal a true original native of America… He is besides, though a little vain and silly, a bird of courage, and would not hesitate to attack a grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his farm yard with a red coat on."

Cool

You can wreak your revenge at Christmas! :-)

Stephen Bell

I never realized you were in Turkey.

LGR recently posted a PC cleanup vid aka not many cuts with an airplane doing circuits every few minutes and stronger complaints each time, it was actually hilarious :D

Kilrah

Not the brightest birds. I've seen them try to wander onto a 100km/h highway.

Andi Kettu

I have airplanes ruining the sound in my videos. I think I'd take turkeys over them. :-)

Big Car

If any turkey sounds do make it into your videos, please promise to leave them in and pop up a tiny turkey somewhere on the set. :D

Paul Mills

I think I'd actually be happy to hear a gobble gobble gobble in the background of one of your videos.

fun story. I'm building mountain bike trails on Vancouver Island, and at the top of the mountain you hear a "whoop whoop whoop" noise that sounds like two trees rubbing together. there's a TON of Elk on the property. my building manager thought the noise was nesting elk trying to warn us away or communicate to their buddies. yesterday, I ran into a beeeaaauuutiful bird, that looked somewhat like a chicken but very colourful plumage - it was confident as hell, strutting around. I looked it up when i got home, it turns out, it's a Sooty Grouse. and then I found the video of their mating call on youtube.... woop woop woop.

Well that's turkey dinner sorted!

looks like a case of free delicious turkey - find a hunter and have him split the meat with ya!

Gobble gobble gobble gobble! https://youtu.be/0jsW7Z7yIB0 That's all I could hear! :D
