SM had EXO who was originally a 12 member group and they are considered 3rd generation and they debuted in 2012. They also promoted EXO-M and EXO-K for the Chinese audience and Korean audience. But yeah I think YG wanted to do a collab project with WINNER and IKON. But unfortunately, some bitter fans from both ICs and Ikonics ruined that possibility. Even when Mino and Bobby did their sub-unit, there has been some petty fan wars and mistreatment when the boys did music shows. I mean WINNER and IKON are still close and support each other a lot, but other than bobby and Mino working together and the boys supporting each other on social media. We don’t get much collaborations music wise which is such a shame tbh. In terms of Hongseok, he actually remained a YG trainee a year and a half, but then left to go to CUBE entertainment. I think he realized that to debut in YG is going to be hard and Yang Hyunsuk was already looking into debuting a younger boy group aka TREASURE. If Hongseok did stick around, he’d probably be the eldest LOL or ended up going solo or went to BLACKLABEL. So it’s good he decided to go to CUBE. He did debut in 2016 with Pentagon. He had to go through another survival show called, PENTAGON MAKER. However, he did gain fans from MIX & MATCH and became the 2nd official debut member of Pentagon. They actually did pretty well in their 7 years of being active, but CUBE is such a mess of a company too. Some Pentagon members including Hongseok terminated their contracts with CUBE. Pentagon is still a group, but I think some members have to wait for their contracts to expire from CUBE. But yeah they still want to make music together and still hang out despite the circumstances. But yeah it’s kind of funny how you said he didn’t fit the hip hop genre. But some of Pentagon songs especially their debut song have hip hop influence and beats to it. His dancing as well as stage presence is 100% better. He became one of the most popular member too and recognized up and coming actor too. He’s still in contact with IKON as well.😍👍

2023-12-01 00:33:50 +0000 UTCThis episode was one of the best!! I rlly love Yunhyeong, Jinhyeong and Chanwoo’s performance at the beginning. They did a great opening and highlighted Yunhyeong’s talent as well. From him getting eliminated(mock elimination) in the previous episode to showcasing his showmanship makes me so proud 🥹. All the performances from this ep are great. It’s crazy to think that they can produce such great songs from survival shows and those songs are still loved today (Climax, Wait For Me, Just Another Boy, Sinosijak and Long Time No See). I also loved the remix of Just Another Boy. If you noticed BOBBY & B.I switched rap parts with Hoon and MINO. Also they combined Team A & Team B’s version of Just Another Boy!! Totally agree with what you’ve said with Hongseok & Jinhyeong.
