Coming to y'all today with a cool new tool for modding The Binding of Isaac!
As an Isaac player, I've always been pet-peeved by the lack of mod managers for it. It always seemed like there's no good solutions out there, which can easily get frustrating when dealing with large mod setups with a lot of character, QOL mods, and other content mods.
That's why I decided to create the 'Isaac Mod Manager', an external mod manager designed to provide typical mod manager tools to a user for ease of use.
Let's have a look at some features!
Profiles
The Mod Manager comes with a profiling system, keeping track of mods you have across different profiles. This makes it easy to create profiles for different setups, as sometimes you might be in the mood for some vanilla Isaac, and sometimes you might want to play with a heavily character modded setup.
Advanced Mod List Management
The mod list comes with a few cool features for easy mod management:
A filter bar to easily find mods you're looking for
Ability to multi-select items and transfer them all at once
A VERY useful 'Enable with dependencies' button that moves all selected mods AND any dependencies that they have declared and you have installed
Warnings when you're missing dependencies either from the play list, or from the steam list in general
Mod Description Panel
A clean overview of the mod's description, if attached, provides a great look into what the mod's purpose is.
Custom Tagging system
Each mod comes with default workshop tags attached to them already that you can use to sort the mods and enable and disable them easily. However, you can also create custom tags to sort your mods in, allowing you to easily manage multiple categories however you please!
As mentioned in the title, this is the first and initial release of IMM so visual issues and bugs are expected. Please post any feedback you have in the discord, as it's greatly appreciated!
Installation
As of right now, the mod manager can be directly downloaded as an attachment of this post. In future updates, it will be moved to steam for easier install.
