Together in Spire v7.0.6 Update

Hey everyone!

As promised, I'm giving you a new experimental preview of Together in Spire v7, featuring today a new experimental UI design overhaul of a portion of the mod!

Let's dive into what's changed:

UI Rework

As announced earlier this month, one of the biggest changes in v7 is the work-in-progress UI redesign! The goal was to ditch the archaic UI of v6 and bring the new one more in line with how the base game looks and feels, while expanding on support for controllers and Say the Spire.

As the nature of the task is quite large, the entire rework is split in parts, and today is the first of 3 parts in total, with the goal being to finish the full UI change by the end of January.

In today's version you can see the new Steam Lobby List screens, Port forwarding host and join screens, as well as WIP game mode selection and setting editing screens. Some features have been cut while the UI is being changed, mainly including features that use old screens where the new screens are right now. For example, in this version the option to choose starting items or base game modifiers will be temporarily turned off to ensure no clashing occurs.

January Roadmap

While this will be touched upon in greater detail in plans posted on the 1st of January, I'd like to share the rough roadmap for the UI screens as they will be in January. We'll have 2 updates in the month, one earlier and one towards its end.

In the first update we will see the finished rework of ALL pre-ingame screens such as the Lobby Screen, finished updates for the settings pickers, new UI features when it comes to settings & more.

The second update will cover the smaller portion of UI remaining that is touching upon the in-game chat, trading & resurrection screens, nameplates, and other miscellaneous screens. That update will also be the one that will ensure all of the new UI is fully usable by controller & compatible with Say the Spire.
