Update 12-14-23

I hope you are all well. This week was a bit bumpier than I expected, but everything has turned out alright in the end. Day two with the little one, he started to have difficulty breathing and it was sort of a whirlwind with no one having answers for us until he got out of surgery on day 4. There are no expected long term complications from all of this and we are through the trouble. However, we are in the NICU. Anyone who's experienced it, it is a process that can't really be predicted. He'll be in there for 6-12 weeks recovering from the surgery before he can go home.
That means I'm in the hospital writing at his bedside. There's not much I can do, so it is a nice way to stay busy if nothing else.
I have started on Dungeon Diving 201 and have a couple chapters under my belt. My writing output took a little hit as I recover from those couple of rough days and I'm adjusting to the new routine of coming into the hospital.
That said, I will be starting Dungeon Diving 201 on Patreon on 12/18/23. A few more days to build up a buffer between my work and you guys helps me make sure you get something cleaner. I often have additional thoughts and touch things up a few chapters behind where I'm working and I don't want Patreon running into that range while I write.

I myself have been in and out of the hospital for 8 weeks in the last 4 months, and I know of the mental and physical strain on myself and those who come to visit. So if writing gets you past that , so be it. I might sound selfish but Your writing and almost daily chapter releases helped me get through these past 4 months. Good luck and God bless your family

2023-12-14 22:05:34 +0000 UTCIf there are complications the NICU is the best place to be. My twin daughters came 6 weeks early and the NICU was invaluable for getting them on a great start. Having a baby is stressful. Take deep breathes and try to be positive. Hopefully recovery and everything else is peaceful

My lungs were not fully developed I could not breathe on my own, the doctors said IF I survived I would not be able to play any sports or run for long periods of time. But children are resilient and grow fast and I played many years of football as a lineman and made the varsity wrestling team as a freshman. Have faith my friend and ill pray for your family

Most of the authors I follow only post a few times a week or just once a week in some cases. If you needed a longer break or to charge more I’ll still be here. Take care.
