I say this every time, but please leave a review for Mob Sorcery 2 once you get through it. This series has thankfully bounced back a lot since the very soft launch it had in September, and a lot of that is thanks to people reviewing, recommending, and sharing it. A huge thanks to all of you.
Mob Sorcery 1’s audio is recorded, and will be up for pre-order soon, with a planned release date at the end of January, so keep an eye out on it. Chances are I’ll be able to include the link in my January update post around the end of December or the start of Jan, if not the release post for Spellblade 6.
Otherwise, my focus is on getting Spellblade 7 written so it comes out in January. I always underestimate how much time I lose to family get-togethers and gift buying in December, as I put everything off until the last minute, so things are quite hectic for me. But chapters are going up on Patreon every few days and should start seriously speeding up post-Christmas. I have lots of plans for 2024 and stuff I want to write, so I’d like to get off to a good start.
I’ll see you all on Boxing Day, when Spellblade 6 audio comes out!

- Nina sex scene added
- Chapter 1 is overhauled
- Some continuity errors in the first half fixed and a few clues added to help with the second half

Vince is impressed that the Lionettis are capable of it at all, the teleport room(s) are stated (which implies a capital expense of some form), and I think fox teleportation might be mentioned near the end? In general, the rarity of teleportation is made clear when it first comes up in the story, so I didn't elaborate.

They're very dated punctuation that should be used extremely sparingly in modern novels, unless writing literary fiction. The fact I use em-dashes is questionable, but I use them too much to move away from them easily. I think your idea of proper punctuation might be very different to most people's.

The Lionettis explicitly have something special built into their tower, so it's not like Kaziern can just throw money at it to make the problem go away (and it would probably cost orders of magnitude more than what Houou is spending to help Kaziern). Houou can't directly help them with their own teleportation infrastructure, especially as foxes teleport around in their own way.

2023-12-16 21:54:36 +0000 UTCHonestly, it seems expensive. It's something the Lionetti's seemed to of had when they were the big dogs. Kaziern doesn't give off that same vibe, even if they're well off. The sites themselves probably aren't worth handing out the device or having a room as well. It was also discussed how dangerous they are. How easy it is to disrupt or block them and something to go wrong for those being teleported. Probably also easy to ambush those coming in. Like how Vince only used placed them in wide open spaces and gave the all-clear for them to teleport after he'd cleared it out.

2023-12-16 06:26:10 +0000 UTCI'm in the middle of reading it now, and I only have one recommendation: look into using semicolons and colons when writing; they would suit your style of writing perfectly and allow the words to flow WAY smoother. The lack of proper punctuation has made the reading experience feel stilted as hell, especially for those who're reading the book through text-to-speech. Side note: I'm still really enjoying the story.
