Wu Zetian: Woman Behind The Curtain - Part 4

๐Ÿ‘‘ The capital pulsates with strange signs and foreboding omens as Emperor Gaozong, lying on his deathbed within the palace, contemplates the legacy he leaves behind. Amidst the complexities of war in Korea, border clashes, support for the exiled Emperor of Persia, and a dynamic religious landscape, Gaozong finds solace in the knowledge that the true power behind the throne, Empress Wu Zetian, will continue to shape the destiny of China. Delve into the political machinations, diplomatic finesse, and religious patronage that characterize this tumultuous period.

True, it has been a couple of months since we had a music thing, that was Henry Ford

Michael Truscott

She's been SUPER busy and hasn't been able to work on any new episodes. BUT we do have a large back catalog of her work to pull from. We hope to hear from her soon.

Isn't there a tale that the lage Vairocana Buddha statue at Fengxian Temple's face is supposedly shaped after Wu Zetian's own face?

Marina De Moraes

I am still wondering about the music at the end of each episode. Has the partnership with Tiffany Roman ended?

VikingChief01

I can't help but notice the parallels between Wu Zetian and Gaja Mada from the Majapahit series, particularly with how both acted as major power centers of state through decades of shifting official heads of state, by the end including heads of state they themselves shaped to serve their own political ends.

PhlubbaDubba

I really hope you at least cover a small bit about Wu's daughter, Princess Taiping. She learned her mother's lessons well, and would end up controlling a good part of Emperor Ruzong's second reign.

Gabe Rosenthal

Awesome! Wishing you the best on your journey!

I'm guessing this ISN't a reference to the Iron Curtain? ;-) On a more personal note, my Mother tells me she might be able to refer me to our GP next week for transgender reassignment therapy, so let's just say I have reason to feel optimistic for a change.
