Only pre-Romanov nobility had Viking ancestry, common people were local Slavs (or other nations, later assimilated by Slavs).

just a note, you kinda screwed up portraying the varangian guard here. the varangians used great dane axes as their primary weapon as a rule, not the norse/carolingian style swords you portray them with here. hell, the greek name for them - pelekyphoros phroura - literarly means, the Axe Bearing Guard. alongside their greater average height than the native greek, it was one of the defining features they were known for
