I've always been very risk-averse, so I don't need this lesson for myself, but I will keep this series in mind, for when I run into someone so flushed with success that he/she doesn't use enough caution.

2017-09-15 19:09:34 +0000 UTCIf you want to see a great drunken debacle, check out the Cadiz expedition, which includes not training the expeditionary forces with weapons because they attacked Devon farmers, a drunken mob besieging their own officers, accidentally shooting their own flagship with a cannon, not even attacking their objective, One of the critical losses of the Swedish supplies was the powder. After the loss of his supplies, Charles's troops were using half of the powder that a normal shot would need, robbing his troops of vital combat potential.
